180w UFO + 250w Hps organic headband

Postby Dustydirt » Fri Nov 16, 2012 11:38 pm

Hey all, I am doing the clw GFP but thought I'd share my other grow using led/Hps combination. This room has only 40" headspace so I'm a bit worried that one of the plants in particular could outgrow the space. It's a reserva privada OG kush freebie that I didn't top because I thought it was a short indica strain, but its gotten taller than I expected. I topped both headband plants which have stayed shorter. Input from Anyone with knowledge on these strains would be great! The blue dream is directly under the UFO and gets much less of the Hps light but appears to like it.
The other three plants are all in the same 17 gal pot which isn't ideal probably but seems to be working ok so far. Soil is organic made with my own compost as well as some guano, peat, perlite, lime & rock dust. I used only filtered water so far, they are 1 week into 12/12.

40" isn't very much, better flower while they're short. ;)

Yeah I wish I had started 12/12 a few days earlier. :? They were vegged about 2 1/2 weeks. At least the vertical growth seems to be slowing rather than accelerating a week into flower.

This journal actually became my GFP, these plants had to be moved right after they began 12/12 and were then given a home under the SS400w.

Oh...so you never really finished the LED+HID combo? We have other growers asking about using LED to supplement HID so I thought I'd check back on this one.

Thanks for replying... ;)
