October 22, 2013 - 68 days into grow.

The Flowering Chamber is getting a bit cozier with three plants now.

Looking good CC, are you going to start from seed you next grow or use clones?

Being Coastal, what coast is that?

Peace out,

GR

Hey GR,

Good question! Seeing everything is so messed regarding what strains I'm actually growing, I'm thinking of starting from seeds from another vendor. But then again, I might try cloning one of my veging plants now, so that it will be ready for the Flowering Chamber when Mary and Jane come out. I think Moe will be too big by then.

Thanx for the interest, but I'd rather keep my location confidential. Sorry about that, I hope you understand.

What grow journal do you have going? I'm finally getting a little break from all this work and would like to check it out.

Cheers,
CC

October 29, 2013 - 75 days into grow.

Houston, we may have a problem. It's starting to look like Moe is a guy. However, after I yanked Moe from the Flowering Chamber, I read in my growing guide that a ball doesn't necessarily mean it's male. Sometimes Calyxs' can appear as a single ball which Pistils will emerge from.

So I'm going to wait until I either see Pistils or clusters of balls. I've shut off the Oscillating fan just in case any pollen sacks pop open before I figure it out.

If Moe turns out to actually be female, I'll probably flower her along with Mary and Jane in order to get a better yield from this grow cycle. Originally I was going to just sex the plant, but I figured it will be way too big in 6 - 8 weeks.

I see, yeah, it is a little more expensive to use the aluminum but it'd be lighter. I'll have to think about it. Typically I would just grow in a large open room but with my back problems and my new project that I'm working on, I may want several smaller rooms instead of 1 or 2 larger rooms.

Did you find the critter with the munchies yet?

I have to say it looks rather male-ish to me too but keep an eye out to be sure.

Other than that, your plants look really healthy, if you end up with good canopy coverage without overcrowding you should have a decent yield.

Keep on keeping on... ;)

Hey SME, I just read about you're back surgery and replied to your post. Sorry to hear about it. :(

Yes the aluminum is pretty light and easy to work with. Just drop me a line if you decide to go the aluminum route and I'll let you know where the materials can be purchased.

No I never found the hungry critter, but I haven't seen any other damage either. Maybe he was just visiting.

Yup, turned out to be male.

Yes, the plants are looking much better. I realized I was making a huge mistake in my nutrient solution. I was mixing my CalMag with my nutrients, so when I diluted the solution with just plain R.O. water, I was also cutting the CalMag, therefore severely depriving the plants of it. Oh well, live and learn. I'm amazed that I haven't got any hermaphrodites from all the abuse I gave them between the bad nutrients and initial temperature fluctuations when I was building my rooms.

Thanx for all you input and Get Well Soon!
