I had mentioned earlier to SME that the critter that was munching on a couple of Curley's leaves was gone, but now I have another pest, or perhaps its the same one, but the damage patterns are totally different on this plant...
A few days later I found what appeared to be a small mustard colored (under the Bloom LEDs, looks green under CFLs) larva about 1/5th the size of a grain of rice.
I found out later it was a Thrips and I've sprayed twice with Parasitic Nematodes, but it doesn't appear to really have a huge impact. I've also been pretty vigilant in picking them off by hand, using the tip of a common pin rolled in the glue from my sticky traps. Works awesome in conjunction with a magnifying loop, as they hang out on the small Sugar Leaves and are fast as hell. Then I just pull out a lighter and fry it into vapor, re-dip the pin and I'm ready for the next one. They also just live on Mary. I've never found a single one on Jane or the White Widows. Weird. although, I have heard that they travel in herds, have you heard? Nyuk, Nyuk, Nyuk.

I put the remaining White Widow in the Bloom Chamber, replacing the previous male. This plant is smaller than its predecessor, and smaller still, than Mary and Jane...

You can see how I messed up my first attempt at topping Mary. The original plan was to Monster Crop and SCROG out one plant filling the whole area, but that never happened. Hopefully on the next plant I will.

For those of you not familiar with HygroHybrid on YouTube and his KILLER SCROGed Monster Cropped one and a half pound plants, take a look at this Super Sour Silver Diesel Haze Behemoth grown by the man himself.....

This plant has a 12 Week flowering cycle. This plant was at day 52 and she still had another 33 days to go. This is in his 14 part series on DWC, not the RDWC series.

Below are some close ups of Mary and Jane's new buds just starting out.
Also, there's something strange going on with two of the White Widow's leaves...
I think I'll name this White Widow "Snow White".

Snowy's oddly colored leaves. It actually looks like someone brushed it with yellow paint. Only the elevated portions of the leaves are colored, the crevices are not. There are even what appears to smudges in the yellow portions. One leaf even appears to be painted exactly only on one half. Very strange.

As if dealing with Thrips wasn't bad enough, now 2 of my brand new Shop Lights in my Veg. Chamber died on me.
And its not like I can just go out and purchase two shop lights and throw them in.
First: I'm using a specific brand and style used by HygroHybrid only sold at Walmart, and good luck finding two at the same store. It took me multiple days and Walmarts to acquire my original four shop lights.
Second: I have to modify the lights in order to fit them in the Veg. Chamber.
Third: I have to disassemble the Veg. Chamber's side and top, then undo the entire electrical harness, remove the old lights install the new lights, re-dress the harness and reassemble the chamber.
Another day and a half gone!

While I am catching up on completing my grow areas, there is still a lot to be done before winter sets in. On example is, my exhaust system was not hooked up to the Carbon Filter yet, just one of those things that was not high on my priority list.
So I finally got to hook that all up yesterday. However, while I was working in very tight quarters with all the equipment already in the Bloom Chamber, I set the 6" flexable air duct on a SolarStorm light just for a second, and as soon as I turned away, down it went crashing onto Jane and Snowy!!!
Jane was fine, just a little shaken. But Snowy, well that's another story. One of her stems got bent way past 90 degrees, I thought it was snapped, but it just had a sharp bend and I was able to fix a splint to it. One of its branches was also hanging straight down which I taped up to the stem. And a leaf's stem was bent in two places which I also fixed a splint to.
The stem and leaf appear to be making a good recovery, but the little branch is a gonner. Hey, like Meatloaf said..."Two out of three aint bad". At laest I won't be losing that entire cola from the stem.

The splinted stem is the one in the center of the photo. The leaves never drooped, so I guess the splint worked. I'll take it off in about a week and see how she's doing.

Just wanted to show how fast Snowy is stretching. She's growing like a Freakin' Weed!!! I guess 'cause she is a weed. (Hey you guys need a "Stoned" Smiley! I guess "Very Happy" will do for now.)
But seriously, this plant has stretched about 14" in 11 days!!! WTF! I'm running out of sky! This plant was started in Rockwool, unlike the others started in Coco Pellets. I realize White Widow can be grown up to 12 feet tall, but damn, that's a lot of stretching!
Also, on a side note, I was able to successfully Fimm and Top the two white widows so I should get a decent yield even though I'm not SCROGing her.
