I am using a 400W Solarstorm to grow lettuce in an aeroponic system (pics below). The first thing I noticed about the Solarstorm was how much the light looks like regular sunlight, compared to my other 125W LED that has more red light. I started some lettuce from seed and then transferred some seedlings to the aeroponics. The seedlings have been growing about 10 days. I have noticed the plants are not "leggy" like they were with the 125W LED. I was also growing some basil that had gotten "leggy" and laid over. That plant starting growing from the side of the plant under the Solarstorm which was interesting and will provide a lot more basil
Disclaimer: I still use HID and I'm NOT an LED expert. All of my LED knowledge is from other parties or research so I can't say from first hand experience one way or another. I also run a medical grow consulting business in SoCal.
