George is his name and I've not heard a single bad thing about the service people get from CLW and George in particular. It's one of the reasons I like CLW even though I'm still a HID guy. If I were to go LED, CLW is almost certainly the company I'd go with. I also never see CLW spam in other forums like the spamtards try to do here with other lights so they get points for that too...

2 days ago I finally put some more of my lovely ladies in my flower tent trying to fill the empty space, I think I would have been better off letting them veg for another week or so, but need to get a rotation started here before it's too late. These new ones are short little bushes, but I also think that is just the way that the Liberty Haze grows, my last one I used LST on it but it got so bushy that not much light gets through the canopy at all, I think this one I will just let it grow naturally after being topped once in veg. The 2 pictures I have listed below are of my Tutankhamon (just over 3 weeks into flower), and my 2 new Liberty Haze (2 days flower). I put the Liberty Haze into 10 gallon airpots to see how much of a difference it will make for its overall growth, all my others have been put into 5.4 gallon airpots when in flower, which now will change to the 10 gallon ones after this round. Enjoy the pics!

Most of my soil experience was outdoors and in smaller old-school clay flower pots but I heard that you should start with smaller pots and transplant to slightly bigger pots as the roots fill in. I don't know if it's actually true or not but I was told that going straight to large pots will slow growth so those new plants in 10 gal pots might be a good test to find out of that's true. I've also heard that most indoor plants won't need more than a 5 gal pot and that's for plants that veg longer. What's your experience with large pots?

Well to be honest with you, I have only used 5.4 gallon airpots until now, so I will see if these larger ones make a difference. I came across an awesome deal I could not pass up on these 10 gal airpots so I had to try them out, and so far I have found that the larger pot I have gone with the larger plant I end up growing, granted sometimes it takes a little while longer. I hope they work out because I bought 10 of these.

There's no doubt that larger containers will grow larger plants because they allow for a larger root mass, the question is whether or not that small plants in large pots get kind of stunted because there's too much medium for non-established roots. Since you're growing indoors that could be too much container for small indoor plants but we wont know until you harvest and inspect the root ball and see if they take longer to grow. I really don't know one way or another but that was what I heard at a local hydro shop when a customer asked the guy that worked there about container sizes. I'm definitely interested...

So, as we are both questioning how larger pots will work, I decided to add a couple more plants into the mix, but I left them in only 3.5 gallon airpots. Just wanted to see how much of a difference it will make for the plant growth. I will add some pics soon!

Are they the same size as the plants in the bigger pots? Since the SS400 doesn't cover much area, do you have enough room in your grow area?

SME, yes, they are the same size/vegged for the same amount of time, technically 3 days apart, but in different size pots. I will try to take some pics in regular lighting so that you can see them better, but here are a few pics for now. Oh, one more thing, all 5 plants are Liberty Haze from clone.

I am so mad at myself, these SS400w make these plants need much more nutes than my 357 Magnum had needed, and now I have run into a severe phosphorus deficiency because I was not feeding them enough. I have been trying to correct it, and with some luck I have semi corrected the problem, but the 2 larger plants in my grow room took a heavy beating. I for now on will be feeding them on the heavier side rather than my previous light feeding, I am also switching my nutrients over to House and Gardens line of nutrients. Pictures will soon follow this post so that everyone can see what not to do. With every light comes a different growing technique, adjust accordingly!
