Good afternoon all, this is my first entry on my grower feedback program for the SolarStorm 400w. I have placed the SS 400w over 2 different strains, one being a clone I took from my last Tutankhamon from Pyramid seeds, and the other is Liberty Haze by Barney's Farm from seed. Both plants have been pruned to have multiple main stalks, and also grown under LST by bending over the main stalks "I would have set up SCROG, but I have not had the time to put it in place yet". My grow room is a 4' Deep x 8' long x 6.5' high tent with a 400cfm fan attached to carbon filter in the right corner with corresponding duct work at opposite end to enable cross ventilation, this light will also be placed in the tent along with my 357 Magnum (not Magnum +), which is currently place over my Y Griega by Medical Seeds.. Below are some pictures of my light and plant setup.
I see that your tent isn't full and that may be a good thing since ~500 watts (both lights) isn't really enough for a full 4x8 space.
What kind of yield were you getting from that Magnum? 180-ish watts isn't a lot so I'm sure that adding the SS400 with 310-ish watts should be a big improvement.
It looks like you have it under control though, I'm looking forward to checking on your updates...

Hey SME, My yields from the Magnum have not been too bad, but I don't have an average or a consistent yield amount, as I have been experimenting quite a bit with different techniques, and different amounts of plants under the one light. My yields have been anywhere from 4oz to 7oz totals from 1 to 4 plants, which is pretty good for the small amount of power I am drawing. The 4 plants were auto-flower, and 3, 2, and 1 have all been photo period. I am currently trying to grow just the single plant under the Magnum to see how well it does covering a smaller area, the light spread on the Magnum is not the greatest but the light does work well. So far, the light spread on the SS 400w is pretty awesome, i was pretty impressed how much area it covered considering it was actually smaller than my magnum, but the coverage is almost twice as much with more intensity overall, 5watt diodes make a huge difference over the 3watt in the Magnum.
Day three and everything is looking amazing, my plants are absolutely flourishing under the SS 400w. My light has been placed 18" from the top of the canopy and seems to penetrate very well, and no signs of light damage at all. I like these lights so much already that I will be purchasing 2 more once my grow shop completes their retailer application.
Below are some more pictures of my little beauties. Please all, give me some feedback, tell me what you like, maybe some of your experiences and tips. No matter how great of a grower I am, there is always more I can learn from others.

Tutankhamon spread and growth, about 6" taller since under SS 400w.
I'm not sure that I have much feedback yet but I would like to request a few pictures taken with normal lighting so I can get a better feel for health etc. Maybe it's just me but the LED (and even HPS) lights wash everything out and everything looks the same to me.
Thanks...

They look really healthy, I'm looking forward to seeing your progress...

I have added something new to my setup, just released recently and made local to me in RI, Earth and Grow is a new device that is supposed to reconnect your plants to earth by grounding the soil and using the earths natural grounding energy to produce more potent, and larger yields, it is also supposed to stop electrical and magnetic interference that is caused by using lights and all other growing equipment, which in turn causes stress for the plants "Shit, I sound like a salesman". I was a little skeptical at first when I bought this, considering it cost me $200 to connect 12 plants, so now here I am testing it out. Man I sure hope this works! Their website seemed pretty informative with lots of testimonials from local farmers that I actually know, so maybe it is not bullshit what this device is supposed to achieve.

Oh yeah, here are some starter pics of 2 plants that I am comparing, one with earth and grow, the other without.
Also, I know this is not my GFP stuff, but the earth and grow is also being used on the plants under the SS 400w, just needed to have something for a comparison and I didn't want to run the comparison on my flowering plants just yet.
Please don't advertise things like that. We have enough problems with spammers so I don't want to make them think that it's OK. If you want to document whether or not it works, that's fine, but please no links.
Thanks...
