No, I fill the res up with RO water.
Add nutes (I premix them in 0.5 gallon of water before adding them to the res)
Adjust pH

In this order.

Arrff, I found out what stopped growth so much.

My humidifier was turned off.

rH was at 37-40% (instead of the usual 60%). Probably been this way for 2-3 days. I turned it back on a few hours ago and I can already see a difference.

I really need to set up an alert system that will notify me via text or e-mail when a value falls below acceptable parameters.

Oh I get it...that'll work. I don't premix though, I just dump the nutrients in the res to get it close then make final adjustments after. With a recirculating system it can take a few minutes to get everything mixed evenly but the pump can handle the mixing so I don't have to. I'm planning on trying coco next so I'll have to figure out my nutrient/feeding changes since the recirculating system won't be the same. I wish my back was better, I'd probably go back to RDWC, it's so simple... :P

Always keep a eye on the basics... ;)

The Sentinel controller is what I use to read rH but it's hidden behind a door which I rarely open so I never even thought of checking.

I know they do make those gizmos that could alert me on my phone if rH falls too low.

SGSensors makes one but it may be expensive, I'm sure there are others...

SGSensors are "Coming early 2013" nothing is actually for sale according to their website.

I was also wondering if you had a preferred hash making method? I was told the dry ice method is the best way, but I haven't done much research on that yet. I'd like to hear your thoughts on this, it'll orient my research better.

I thought that was just for the irrigation controls, I thought the environmental controls were already available... ;)

Can't find any SG Sensor products on the three online grow shops I know (except their LED fixtures).

"Online purchasing" doesn't mean they don't sell them. There is a contact form to fill out for more info but I've just been waiting...
