I'm a first time poster and a first time indoor grower. I have done a lot of reading that I've reached to a point where things are getting messy in my head. This might be a long post but please put in your replies as accurate as possible. I do have a medical case and its the simple insomnia but you think it just sounds that simple. anyways..
I will be posting my grow room dimensions which will be a small closet that I have built just very close to my bedroom. (see map below). I have chosen to use LED lights for various reasons. My grow room is the balcony extension of my bedroom which I closed externally with aluminum windows and will install a closet of 278W x 260H x 70D.
Why I have picked LEDs: In my country we don't get electricity 24/7 from the government which means we have to "rent" 5 amps of electricity from a shared generator in the area. 5 amps means anything more than a fridge/TV some lamps will cause the breaker to cut. So using power hungry lamps like HPS with the ballasts and possible cooling fans/ac is out of the question. I also dont want to use the HPS lamps just because the grow room is very close to my bedroom and i don't want to be sleeping near the sound of fans and unhealthy gases that the Hps may emit.
Now, I know the LED is not proven with many and others may endorse it, but I have made up my mind. Having stumbled upon the grow lights called Grow Pro 400 (selective switch) which are relatively affordable for my budget.
The help I need from the forum members and possible LED experienced growers is whether the Pro Grow400 that produces 240w in full illumination mode will be enough for my grow room of 278W x 260H x 70D having 4 plants.
- Has anyone used GrowPro?
- Will one light of 240 w be enough for 4 plants placed next to each other as drawn in the map?
