Growwurks.com does say they price match, I wonder which customer service is easier to deal with. CLW is super easy to deal with since UPS doesn't take care of packages my ss400 came with a broken uv bulb but CLW sent out one no questions asked. btw I used the uv from beginning to end on these I don't know if it made a difference but I think you should wait to turn it on just for the fact of trichs are like a sun screen and it disperses the light just a theory though. I'm always looking to save money and I'm very interest to see solis's led
I don't know about that one but GrowersHouse seems to have good reviews. If they price match that's a good sign.
I don't think you can have too many trichomes, personally.
I'm not a fan of LED arrays but they do make good HID products. Time will tell...

Mbferts looks more expensive than GH but I only looked at the ballast. *shrug*
It would bother me if I kept the ballast inside the grow room. There is a myth that green light is flower safe but now we know that plants do use green light so I'd cover that with electrical tape if I had to. Also the IR emitters, for night vision cameras, can cause light stress, especially on strains that are more prone to herm. DARK is what you want.

I will keep it outside the room just to be on the safe side/keep as much heat as I can out of the room. I've been looking at the waterfarm by GH and thinking I would prefer that to keep different strains sperate to give each one what they need. Pretty sure I can build them cheaper do you think I will need a chiller, it seems like I wouldn't as long as ambient temps are under control. I will be ordering things ASAP
you can easily build a waterfarm clone for much cheaper.
i started with DWC and thought i could get away w/o a chiller. do yourself a favor and budget one in. it will save you so much hassle that it will be worth it. root issues are a killer (literally) in DWC.
your water temps will become the ambient temp. so unless your ambient temps are going to be in the high 60's, you'll need one

Any suggestions on a chiller? I've read about people making them out of a mini fridge and using frozen water bottles and all of that seems like more trouble than its worth and about the same cost as a chiller. there's an ice probe chiller on amazon for 114. If I got the light off of GH I would be able to get that but I see most chillers are around 300 and that's not really something I can budget in at the moment.
Last night I angled the ss400 at a 45 to give the kushberry more light saturation. I will be starting a cure tonight or tomorrow with boveda packs.
How many buckets (size?) and how big of a reservoir are you going to have? If you go RDWC, you'll want to count the the total capacity.
I seriously doubt that an ice-probe will work. In a 20 gallon system, for example, it'll only lower the temp 3 or 4 degrees. You're better off saving for a better one and don't go too small there either. The price difference between a 1/10th HP and a 1/4 hp chiller isn't much but it's a big difference in capacity.
