It is the start of my Skywalker kush flowering, I can now see the the ss400 is fully capable of flowering not to the density of the sun but it does make them produce more trichs than being outside, I have moved into my new flowering room much narrower (30")but it is 4 deep and that's only one side of the room later on it would be nice to turn the other side into a veg area or run an hps setup for comparison purposes.
Flowering room: 30" x 36"x 52" used space, total space 30"x96"x108" 1 ss400 1 can max 6" (334 Cfm) pulling probably 300 Cfm with filter Mylar A random mix of soils Floranova bloom series Floralicious Calmag R.O. Water And a honeywell turbo fan for air circulation
On this flowering I will be using the lst method to deal with the fact of recieving a sativa pheno of the s.w. The s.w. sprouted from soil on 6/10/13 transplanted to 3 gallon smart pot on 7/10/13 showed its sex on 7/30/13. Brought inside on 8/3/13.
It was given a little over 24 hours of darkness when moved from outside to inside to adjust its light cycle to 12/12 and a time shift as well.Temp/humidity is steady, lights off 74/56 lights on 79/49 by week 5 the humidity level will drop to around 40% outside so I'm hoping it will drop inside too.I will also be adding in a 6" passive intake directly behind s.w. I'd like any suggestions/tips on co2,dehumidifying and l.s.t. As always questions are welcomed. Will post pictures as soon as I can
I'm not sure what kind of tips on LST, CO2 or dehumidifiers you need but if you supplement CO2 you only need to do it while the lights are on and sealed rooms are better.
A good dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment. A larger one will need to work less and handle a bigger load but they also use more power.

I'm not sure what day of flowering to call this so I'm going to say the start of week 3 and go from there. My SW is looking good even after feeding twice in a row (by accident) lol, had some claw leaf but went mostly away after flushing and a day of sitting I will start back on a half strength LF with floralicious plus
Humidity has been very high in my area still and I'm struggling to keep it between 50% and 65% luckily it is still early into flowering, I will be purchasing a dehumidifier as soon as I have funds available until that happens does anyone have any ideas of ways to lower my RH ? SME I was wondering if you have had any experiences with different brands of dehumidifiers good or bad?
I have been slowly cutting flowers off of my previous grow as they ripen one by one and so I was also wondering about curing, I got some boveda 62% packs and I dry until slightly crispy on the outside then into wide mouth jars with the boveda pack I have been burping the jar once a day just to check to see where they are at, 62% is way better than the 80 to 90 % humidity we have been having recentlyi can't wait to try once all is cured, I am not getting the smell of hay at all at this point.
I am also wondering about cloning techniques. Should cuttings only be made during veg? I took cutting off of my SW (none survived but from where I took them from everything below the cutting has lost it's serration on its leaves and looks kinda like basil now none of the other parts of the plant look like this so it isn't very concerning to me just kinda odd. Also when LSTing do you remove under growth such as large fan leaves since they won't be recieving the proper light?
Pictures will be up soon as I have fallen behind in my construction of my closet I have yet to line the room with Mylar or cut my vent hole behind the SW so the vent hole may have to wait until next grow but Mylar should be up tonight pictures will be up some time next week temps/humid= lights on 79/52 lights off 72/65
I've had good luck with my large Maytag dehumidifier but I'm sure others are good too.
I like the idea of those boveda packs, it turns the jars (or whatever) into more of a humidor. Not too high not to low. I recently invested in some cvault containers that use those packs too so that's what I'll be trying when my back is fixed.
You *can* clone from flowering plants but the success rate usually drops and they take longer to root and revert back to veg. I don't remove leaves, if they're getting even SOME light they're contributing to photosynthesis and if they're not the plant will drop them without my help.

Hello again, it seems as though SW took well to the flush and then the half strength LF. No more claw leaf and my runoff is at 6.4 light has been moved up to 13" away to get a little more coverage area as it has been about 8" away. I am thinking about phasing in my kush berry plant from outside to fill in my area a little more, the only thing I'm worried about is the space after flowering really kicks in and stretch is done.
My original project still has not finished outside but I am cutting and trimming little by little, so far I have about 28 grams of dry weight and a lot more to go, I have a feeling it will not finish for a while since I walked outside to it this morning and all the flowers grew about 70% new white pistils over night.Maybe because of the increase in daylight from 12/12 inside to around 13 hours of daylight outside it has had no new nutes in 2 weeks only lots of RO after its florakleen flush. I have two male P.K. Plants and was wondering about breeding them with a female
SME I noticed at my local grow shop a nutrient called CES or cutting edge solution. have you ever heard of them? If so what are your opinions about the nutes?
Also off subject but I have noticed my tomatoes are being killed by spider mites and my squash and watermelon are both being eaten by aphids which I'm glad it's them and not my medicine but I was wondering if there's is any way to rid my plants of them so they don't go after my meds once they kill off the other plants
I've never used CES nutrients, are they cheap or expensive? When I looked them up they don't seem much different from GH 3 part for hydro.
Mites and aphids both travel you can hit them with beneficial insects like lady bugs or you cant hit them with something more aggressive like insecticides/miticides, either organic or not. For you meds I'd suggest something organic, especially if they're in flower.

Sorry about the lapse in time, I am finding it hard to post anything since I only own a phone and no Internet or computer but SWOG is filling out nicely and kushberry is now inside.
SWOG is super frosty at the beginning of week four and KB ihas only been in for 3 days but everything seems to go a deep green color after only a few days under LED. I noticed recently that solis tek is producing an LED light but I can't seem to find the specs on it. The plants both are receiving LF with about .5 mil per gal of floralicious plus , last night I took some collected male pollen from my pure kush plant and pollinated some of the lower flowers. Slow and steady goes the grow
Day 27 since 12/12 and everything looks well, noticed a few red stripes going up the stems but not all over.
Since a flush was done 2 weeks ago I know it can not be salt build up, ph is stable at 6.5 so that's not it either and I am doing LF (floranova)with .5 ml calmag/1 ml floralicious plus every other feeding so i doubt it is deficient in anything,it takes three days for it to drink a gallon and then plain RO w/ .5ml calmag/1ml floralicious plus I think it may be genetics at this point.
Feeding is LF once every 6 days as it stands not sure if they can take more or not since the tips on a few (not many) leaves want to point down.the plant has filled in so much that it is like a dense forest in there. Trichs are growing along the stems and covering leaves ,I am very impressed with this pheno. The ss400 might be 10" from canopy and no light bleaching or heat stress from what I can see. temps/humidity= 78/45 lights on 67/60 lights off.
I was gonna try GH FloraNova but they were expired. So I went with CES. I had read good things about them on other forums and figured I'd give them a shot. I got micro, grow and bloom but I'm using just M&B in a LED modified Lucas formula. So far so good. And they were 40% off because grow shop is retiring soon. Came out to like 20 bucks for 3 quarts.
I'm in a rDWC setup if that matters
Supposedly a small family run co. in santa rosa i think.
Keep checking on my current grow. We'll both see how they do
Purple stripes can be a phosphorus deficiency. LF was designed for hydro so keep an eye on them...
