Update:

Both of the new seeds popped so in rockwool they went. It did get around 85°F near the exhaust fan last time so I've moved the container away from the light so hopefully the conditions are now right for a happy little seedling.

So there is a definite rockstar between the two new seeds and I've decided to go ahead and put her in the system now...whew, finally! :P

Let's just forget the first seed ever happened shall we? ;)

The SolarFlare is super high atm but as soon as the Kali is free of her shell and her cotelydons are out I'll bring it a little closer. I have the nutes at 1/2 strength and she's sitting just above the water level so as soon as she starts drinking we'll be off to the races! :D

Hello again!

The Kali is looking happy in her new home though she has stretched a bit so I've lowered the Solarflare to 36 inches.

She hasn't fully opened up yet but I'll let her work that out herself ;)

My apologies for the blurry pic. I'm looking into grabbing an Olloclip for my iPhone to get close up shots.

New Day 10 ;)

Things are moving along now. She started curling up a bit and new growth is a bit light in color. I haven't been running Cal/Mag yet so maybe it's a Magnesium deficiency. I changed the nutes out to full strength (might be too early) and added the Cal/Mag.

I also moved the Solarflare down from 36 inches to 24.

A lot of big changes today so I'm going to keep a close eye on her and see how she takes to them. I'll update again soon!

hey xarlan,

keep an eye out for tip burn. i personally think full strength is way too strong for that small a plant. when my clones are that small, i'm only at 10% to 20% strength. then work up from there.

if you do start seeing tip burn, give them a 24hr flush in RO water.

Good tip, RKY. I figure since I'm running Lucas I have a little more forgiveness. But you're right. I'll definitely keep an eye on her.

Day 12

Whew, no signs of nute or light burn so all changes look like they were positively received. So yay! :D

It did get a little warm with the rising southern temps these days so I threw in an inline fan to help. Not ideal since stealth is important but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. ;)

I decided to lower the Solarflare to 18 inches just to see how she takes it. If all is good I might try 12 inches but not go any lower than that.

So far I like the light. Since I had only used a 400w HPS before, I am noticing the spacing between nodes to be tighter than I usually see which is nice.

More updates to come! :)
