Ya, I would say it's all light proof. None of the materials are transparent, and I glued silver bubble wrap to the res.
As of right now all temps are within a degree of each other. So maybe just getting the res temp down will help. h

Yeah, that is a good sign. Again, I'd go with a much larger res and if you can keep it out of the grow room that's even better. When do you get your chiller?

Just a quick update. I have done this weeks res change. I actually did a bit of a flush for a few days. (waiting for the chiller) While the res was empty, I installed the pump and ran the lines through the ceiling.
Got a message from the seller today. Apparently they screwed up on the shipping, and now he has to re-send it. Wtf! He's gonna refund my shipping, and send some other goodies for the hassle, so we'll see.
