About me; Well folks I know Im new here, but Ive been growing for several years, and the last 2 with LEDs. I am a legal medical patient, with a brain tumor. I like Girls, Cars, and Dragracing....And killer smoke.
My setup; The wife didnt want a tent in are bedroom, So I began building, and building. Size is 4x4x6'8", and Ive been trying to mimic your basic Armoir. Still a work in progress. The system also came from my head, (sometimes I wonder what all is in there, with the shit I come up with) and it is a bleacher style Aeroponics system, using almost all parts avialable at Homedepot. The pump is an air fractioning model, that creates Its own bubbles while its pumping, and the tank is a 12gal. poly one frome a boat. (found on CL)
The Plants; They started out as 3 Subcool "Pandoras Box, 3 Seedism "Apple Jacks", and 3 Doggies nuts "Big Bud". Now the situation is like this. I originally started these plants for Blue Planet nutes, and things got real rushed Some plants ended up rootbound in the net pots (they weren't allowed to root properly in the pots) so to keep the diary going I replaced them and moved them around, so as of now its a little hard to tell whats what. I will know once we switch to flower, as they look very different.
So I am pretty cofident we are ready to move forward, so heres some pics! First is the room/cab.

Yes they are "UVB" T8's, the directions say to turn them off before working under them, because of the radiation. Peace. h

theres a few free programs you can use to clean your pics,i wouldn't have noticed until you mentioned it.
good land on the light mate, the UV-B makes them more frosty, the plasma lights have a similar thing. you can see the difference in the depth of colour between the first photo and your new light.
good to see another LED company, and sounds like a good deal you got as well. keep it bright mojo I thought the same thing about the fans but they really move some air, also the heat-sink is about an 1" 1/2 thick I seems to actually be cooler than the Blackstars. It weighs 32lbs, and is very well built. I very impressed with the Quality of both the workmanship, and how bright it is, (its not possible to stare directly at it) and I know what kinda buds I got with the Blackstars, I can only imagine what this thing will produce.
My cam is a $150 Kodak digital. Not real expensive, but always took decent pics. I still havent had a chance to look at it. I know it has an HQ, and normal, so Im thinking maybe it got switched off HQ.
So Since everyone over here seems to be shy. I am incorperating some of the Q's Im getting from other sites. Thats what the previous post was, and also the next. Peace. h

Oh by the way if want rid of any of your blackstars Lol.
It really is the best built light Ive seen. Looks, and feels like 14ga. steel. The unit feels like you could take it out, and use it as a sled all day, then plug it back in as a light!
Also the difference is amazing! Gonna have to look into some taller strains now. (Just to get a plant over 30in, Lol)
My plan for the Blackstars is to use them as under-lighting, so all the little shit has a chance to get nice too. Dont know if Im gonna need them though. If not I may consider donating them. h

good luck with the light bro, mojo
I checked the cam, and it does have an ISO setting, but I usually keep it on the "Image Stabilizer". The Tumor makes me a bit shaky. I just went into the menu, and I see it is set on 2.1 mega pixels, so I switched it back to 7.1. We'll see if that helps. The wife, and I are going for a walk in the snow this evening, so I'll give a test. Thanks for your help I appreciate it! h

imon a old laptop that the space bar needs hittingwith a hammerto work so damn annoying ! so sorry short post tonight

It really is a great name, and it definitly lives up to it. (Built like a brick shithouse) The UVB bulbs aren't bright at all but the warn you to turn them off when working around them, cause of the radiation.
Lol, Ya shes quite the cab. Still have a bunch more work to do. Gonna router all the edges with a round over bit, and sand, and stain it. Made a secret locking system, so it cant be opened by accident, and installed all the knobs, so it really looks like a wardrobe now.
The reason for the small plants is cause the way I started them, (rushed) so they basically became root bound. They all are getting new roots, so Im gonna give them another 10 days then into flower. The next one will be done right, and if it dont work, the whole system will be binned for 1 like your old RDWC.
I keep my temps between 70-80. Ya its pretty cold out side, been snowing like a bastard. I love it though, 4x4 with siped mud tires......Haven't found anywhere I cant go. Plus all the snow scares everyone else off the roads! Its like heaven.
You are always welcome to come bullshit any time. Peace. h
Well this is a week 1 update for this diary, and a week 6 update for the plants.
The girls are picking up, still not up to my standards, (No fault to the light) but definitely re-rooting. This diary originally started as a test grow for Blue Planet nutes, then Solar storm was added in.
So on with it. The light seems to be working real well. In my opinion, it should have a bit more blue, and white in veg. But everyone is happy none the less. The reason I say this is because I like a little more stretch from my veg, and the red spec really seems to keep them short. Of course this may also have to do with the rooting issues. Either way, Im keeping the light. Very Happy with the quality. Its really built like a tank. The only thing I had to change was the hangers, but I believe in overkill, so Ive always used chain.
I been mixing my nutes to what the bottle says, and my EC's have been really high, (2.4) So I have backed her down this week, and give them a break. EC is 1.1 for this weeks res change, and PH is 5.8. These nute are real stable. Once you set the PH, it dont move much. Also like I had read about them, absolutely no nute burn, even being so high. I just think the ones that still havent recovered, needed a break.
So thats about it this week everybody. I am still planning on going to flower next week. As of right now Im using my veg tent to flower, and I need to get back on track, so I dont have this rooting issue again. Now for the pics. h
