Weekly update time! Bad news first....LA #3 and Liberty Haze wilted to the point of exsanguination...RIP...moving on... Grow room a little cool at 70-72, RH 45-50. Feeding/Watering every three days; 20 ml Botanicare pro grow, 5 ml Cal-Mag and a drop of Superthrive per gallon of RO, PH adjusted to 7.2 in, 6.5 out. Very pleased with the results...this is an improvement from last grow, really am liking this mix of nutrients. The 4 main plants are 8-10 inches in height...watching carefully.

Blue Rhino is thriving, as is LA #2...both will be ready to transplant this week.

Last week I topped LA #1 and Northern Light * Skunk to give the garden a little while to catch up to them. They positively exploded!

I took the cuttings, dipped them in rooting powder and am trying to get them to grow. They are still alive, not wilted too badly at all...fingers crossed..this is my first try at doing this as well! If they take, I will create a second spot to maintain them while I flip these remaining four plants to 12/12, likely in the next 2 weeks.

Any and all feedback, advice and comments greatly appreciated!
7.2 in is still a little high but you can adjust your soil mix with more lime next time you re-pot which should be before flower if they're in smaller pots. I'd try to get that temp up a bit too.
They look super green which could be genetics, the camera or too much nitrogen, so keep an eye on them.

On your clones, try cutting back on the sun leaves at least 3/4. They absorb a lot of energy.
I'd go 1/2 but you're right, trimming some of the leaf off of the cuttings can allow it to spend more energy on developing roots. This however is the whole top of a plant and not just a small cutting so I wouldn't cut more than 1/2.

Thanks for the advice as always. I trimmed the largest of the fan leaves off of the 2 plant tops that I am trying to clone...they look ok still...I also took a second clone of the LA Confidential to increase the chances of having one going forward.

I need to get a heater for night times when I flip them...any recommendations? Are ceramic portables the way to go? My plan is to keep it in the room (10*12), behind the fan that blows into the closet (2*3).
The family is growing large quickly, despite the cropping. Skunk*NL and LA#1 are both 12" tall this morning, while the Blue Rhino has really taken off since transplanting last week, and is over 10" tall. The second LA clone that I resurrected from the dead, is now a solid and bushy 8" tall!

Based on my last grow, I decided to flip them today. I know that these 4 plants will fill the area up pretty quickly
Finally, I noticed a small hint of tip burn on two of the plants...not sure if this is related to the "too green" thing. I cut nutes in half last week, and did a full flush this morning.
I would have cut the leaves in half instead of removing 1/2 of them but as long as it works...

ahh...lessons learned! Oh well...they seem to be ok so far...how long should it take for me to be able to see root tips coming out of the seedling sponge? I've read that it should take from 7-10 days? I've got them under a small fluorescent now in a terrarium...
Just wanted to share that I switched to 12/12 two days ago...and they have just exploded in size on me...all four have jumped 2 inches and the two that I topped have also bushed out incredibly! I will post pictures Friday...I just took a minute to check out last week's pictures, and I just can't believe the difference already.
Yeah I'd say 1 or two weeks is normal but I've had cutting take over 3. Don't panic if they're not rooted in 7.

Day 4 of 12/12 RH 38-42 Temps 75-82 Watering/Feeding every 3rd day...Botanicare Pro Bloom 20 ml/gal, Cal-Mag 5 ml/gal, and PH'd to 7.2 in, 6.5 out. Each pot takes 1/2 gallon before draining...getting more thirsty.
I believe I had a "switched at birth" scenario with two of my clones...a Skunk/NL cross had to have been switched with one of the LA Confidentials...because the two big, bushy, healthy plants I have are EXACTLY the same size, shape, color, everything....as if they were, wait for it, clones !! HAHA...you can see them here in the family shot on the right...

This third clone has to be the Skunk/NL cross

This pointy Christmas tree here in the corner is the unique Blue Rhino...she has been showing some nute burn on the tips...so this time around she got PH'd RO with a little Cal-Mag....Any other suggestions with her?

The two tops I took seem to be bouncing back to health after their trimming...fingers crossed they will make it! One has some leaf tip curling...

That's about it this week..my plants seem to be a lot healthier, happier and in the case of the LA Confidentials, just exploding in size. I can see why some people prefer clones...if I had 6 of these babies, wow would it be amazing!
Any comments, advice or feedback greatly appreciated as always!
