So, I had an accident in the garden just now. After feeding the ladies, I decided to grab my tape measure and see how tall they were now (24"), and saw that they were getting too close to the light. So, I turned around and in my haste the tape measure slipped out of my hand...and smacked down right in the middle of LA Confidential #1. Hit right on top of where I topped the plant, and stripped the main cola down about 2 inches down the main stem! I immediately grabbed the duct tape and taped it back up together...I've done this with roses successfully...do you think I have a chance of it not dying/turning hermie?
As I was cleaning up the mess, I noticed that LA Confidential #2 had the top two flower sites neatly sliced off as well...from the tape flying through the air I think.
They are now 16 days into flowering...thoughts as to damage and recovery?
They should live but you hurt your yield. How much we'll never know. They could turn hermie, maybe not though. Remember, they're plants and you can always start over or do it again so don't stress yourself over it either.

Thanks SME...I guess I'm just in search of the "perfect grow"...when I make no mistakes and the ladies love me beginning to end!
Ok, time for the weekly update here. Day 20. Temps holding between 75-82; RH 30-40; Feeding/Watering 25 ml/gal Botanicare; 5 ml Cal-Mag; PH'd to 7.2 in 6.5 out every 3rd day. Soil was very dry this time, but the plants showed no signs of stress at all.
After four days, the plants seem to be starting to grow again after a period where they seemed to pause. It gave the skunk * NL cross a little time to catch up (gotta look on the bright side of things!).
Here is the family shot this morning...still plenty of nice flowering sites.

Comments and feedback always welcomed...thanks! ICB
Look good icb, looks like she enjoyed the abuse. I will be heading into flowering this week. I broke over probably 6 branches on each of my H.S. Plants about two days ago and they bushed out over the course of the two days.I'm a little worried about spacing now for the first time ever I'm hoping for some stretch!
Thanks for the feedback guys. RKY, you said it all...as a former musician, I can't tell you how many times I used duct tape for its "non documented skills"...Thanks PM, bushing out is exactly what they did! Take a look at LA 2 today, she looks to have completely recovered from being literally split in half a week ago.

Today is day 25. Full strength feeding schedule every third day, PH is 7.2 in and 6.5 out, and they are good and dry and are taking 2/3 gallon each. Light is roughly 16-18" away from the canopy, temps run from 72-80, and RH from 32-42. The vertical stretch has slowed dramatically with the LA's at 25" and the Skunk * NL cross at 21"....Topping and then smashing them (haha) seems to have caused them to bush dramatically as you can see.

Hey all, Things are going ok here, today is the "halfway point" of flowering at day 30!! Fingers crossed that mother nature pays attention to the calendar....
So, I have some seeds to pick from for my next grow. Anybody heard or know anything about these 6 strains? I'm thinking about one of each (you guys know me, never one to make things simple for myself). 1) Violator Kush 2) Critical Kush 3) Black Afghani Kush 4) Pineapple Chunk 5) CBD Magma 6) Fruity Chronic Juice
The first 4 all have good reputations but I don't know about the other 2. If you HAVE to mix them at least try to group similar flower times and genetics. Avoid mixing sativas and indicas, etc.

Thnx SME...the day got away from me, and the ladies have gone to bed for the evening. However, I'm thinking I may have some sort of issue going on. I have light tan burn marks across the middles of the oldest, largest fan leaves and a couple of edges. To be honest, it first looked like I splashed a little water across the plants here and there...sorry, I'll post a pic tomorrow....thinking maybe just skip a feeding and see if they react. I also read in a journal you had recommended stopping Superthrive into flower...I've been using it all along...I thought it just helped the plants with nutrient uptake?
So, on a different note...one of the tops I had taken off of the LA Confidential surprised me and not only survived, but thrived and sprouted a some beautiful roots too!

Going to pot this tomorrow, trying to slow play it until the grow room is ready, like another 3-4 weeks...keep it alive in the terrarium..it's already 7 weeks old!!
