i found some info that has changed how i'm looking at harvesting the next one. i can't find the website (i cleared my history) but the post was basically this : amber= oxidation of the THC = loss in potency.
harvest when first signs of amber appear.
his theory was that if you want that real couch lock effect, that you should be looking at high CBD strains instead of indica/sativas in general. how do you like the CBC magma? have you grown it before???
there is a grower in the town next to me that does a strain called charlotte's web. very high CBD. i have never really searched out a high CBD strain. maybe i should...
Actually, I think you may have misread that site.
Amber is a sign of degraded THC but it doesn't degrade to CBD it degrades to CBN which is what causes the couch lock.
Amber is for those that want couch lock; clear/cloudy is for those that want a more "up" cerebral high.
People go for CBD strains not for couch lock but for medicinal relief without the "high" and that's why parents that give mmj to kids look for high CBD/low THC.
