SME, they don't look ready is what I keep thinking!! Calendar says less than a week, Zero red hairs....but 50%+ trics are clouded... Pics are best I can do at the moment...since the flood the only things left in my room are the Aeroflo and my LEDs...everything else had to be moved to drier ground...lol
I have read that some people don't watch trics, rather they harvest according to the amount of red hairs....But I have zero red hairs at this point!
Should I ignore the trics until I see some red hair??
RKYMTNMAN, no that strip just has a red stripe painted on that shows when it is on...no indicator light..
The controllers were both VSP-DNe. I bought the fan, filter & controller from the same vendor and he says there shouldn't be any compatibility issue...so I don't know what to think. I have several other things running on the same circuit and nothing else has acted up at all... I wonder if they had a "bad batch" at the factory that got past QC???
I like to have amber trichomes but I've never seen plants that were ready to harvest that didn't have red pistils either though.
They could have gotten a batch of bad components, we'll see...

They buy their relays, switches, etc from other vendors to put in their products...

Got a question.... I got to where I was maintaining about 1130-1170 ppm, and they seemed to like it there. The level would go up at certain times of day and then go back down at other times of day...but every day the girls were drinking....a lot.
PPM has gradually been sneaking it's way up...but not coming back down....and they are still drinking a bit of water..
Question is....Is that normal, or what would cause my PPM to be steadily rising at this stage in the grow??? As stated, ppm was staying in the mid 1100s...then crept to low 1200s....then to mid 1200s....now to high 1200s, cresting 1300 at times....without adding any nutes or additives. And I have double checked with my hand held so I know it isn't calibration...
Leaves have a little tip burn, but otherwise look pretty good.
If you're getting nute burn it's too high. If you just stuck with a steady LF of either 6-12 or 7-14 you'd probably be better off.
YMMV...

I have....I have stuck with LF and adding 1:2 whenever I add nutes. 6:12 put me right at 1100 ppm...which is where I was holding it until this.... The last 2 days I have topped off with just Ph'd water, hoping to bring the ppm down a little.....and it is still higher than what I feel it should be.
If it's creeping up on it's own then they're using more water than food. When you add back more than 1/2 the res size, with just water, it might be time to drain and refill again.

Thank you for that advise!! Is that a "general rule of thumb"? After adding back 1/2 res capacity in plain water = Res change...
I spent last night changing out my reservoir to get things back under control and this morning when the lights came on the numbers indicated that the girls had the munchies last night!! PPM dropped 60-70 during the night....so I know they are hungry and eating! I will be watching it to see what it does from here without adjustments!
I didn't need them on a hunger strike the last couple weeks of their lives...lol
This morning I started seeing some RED HAIRS scattered about the grow! As usual, I guess I was being too impatient....and didn't know any better... But I am learning...
