Day 73...and my Ph is still dropping like a rock! I bumped it up to 5.9 when I topped off last night before lights out and today when I checked on them at lunch Ph had dropped to 5.5.

So I topped off to raise PH, plus added a little AquaShield and a little Hygrozyme....hoping it will help.

Seeing more & more red hairs, but haven't been able to spot many amber trics yet...but way over 60% cloudy...

Still just waiting.....and hoping

I know people that don't harvest until they're over 60% amber and a 100% cloudy.

Patience... :D

I still use HID and I'm NOT an LED expert. All of my LED knowledge is from other parties or research so I can't say from first hand experience one way or another. I also run a medical grow consulting business in SoCal.

I'm trying Sister, I'm trying....believe me!

Is there any guess-timating a rough time remaining...if I am 60-75% cloudy, maybe 20% red hairs at this point?? Just have no idea...guess I have never been this patient....first tub grow got chopped according to calendar....I may not know shit yet...but I knew less then! LOL

Thanx

Happy!

Well, made it to Day 74... Which btw, was counted from the day I flipped these girls. Some of the reading I have been doing about when to harvest seems to start counting the days when flowers first appear....which could be something else I needed to learn.

Had a helper today to hold a T5 fixture for me so I snapped a few pics...without LEDs on.

Just watching and waiting....

It figures!! LOL

Last night Before the lights went out I topped off and bumped Ph up to 6.2...knowing it would sink again....and I put another small dose of the Hygrozyme in.

Today the lights came on and the Ph had dropped to 6.1...that's it!! Now another 8 hours later, it is still holding at 6.1... I guess if I had knocked a few small roots off, the Hygrozyme cleaned up after me? Either way, the Ph seems to be stabilizing. Time will tell, and I will be watching.

Patience

I have always had a problem with all three. LOL

Ha...I hear ya and have the same problem...or quality...haha

Patience being the worst for me! But I'm not too old to learn...even if it is slowly.

Hell, if I had gotten it right on the money the first run, I would wanna kick my own ass for not doing it years ago!!

Thanx to SME, this is the furthest I been down this road... Previous couple grows went until calendar said and trics were half to most cloudy. I was afraid to let it go too long...

Just gettin better with time!!

Day 76... Ph has quit dropping and leveled out. Plants are doing ok, no reason for alarm. Thanx again guys for enlightening me!!! I smile every time I look at these girls and think of what I would be missing if I had chopped by the calendar!!! I am seeing more & more red hairs appearing daily, but trics are still clear/cloudy. Haven't seen them turning amber yet... I think I am starting to see a bud or two where the red hairs are starting to shrivel up a little....so maybe they are getting close... I hope so!! Really looking forward to seeing these girls hanging upside-down....hahahaha. Plus, stash is getting a little low...but I'm hoping this will be the last time it does!! I have found several things I want to try with some of this crop after the harvest!! Like a kid in a candy store... :P

Overall, I am pretty pleased with these girls....when they are finished...it will be time to celebrate! First grow in the Aeroflo and with a serious set-up, first grow NOT from seed, ALL clones that I clipped and started, first grow with any advise, other than online reading..., first grow that really has really has opened my eyes! It's only going to get better from here!!! :D

I know I started this grow with a lot of high hopes and unrealistic expectations. I screwed up more than a time or two, but I know I'm going to do better next round!

Many, many thanx to Sister Mary Elephant and RkyMtnMan for adjusting my sights and educating me a little bit...I know I still have a long way to go...but I have appreciated your guidance and advise....

Not going to rush these girls, but I'm thinking if they don't finish in the next 7-10 days I will have to flip my little girls in the tent. I'm trying to keep em small and close in size. There are a couple laggers, but for the most part, the babies are coming along nicely....I started a couple of extras so the few runts won't make it to the Aeroflo.

Ready, waiting & watching!!!

Made it through day 79... Seeing more red hairs but still not at 50% yet. Trics are still mostly cloudy, with a lot of clear still and it is a job to find any amber.

So I am still watching and waiting.

I think I have come up with a harvest plan that may help me to learn.... I am thinking about chopping 2-3 stalks every 3-7 days, as the trics and the hairs change, until they are almost all red & amber. This way I will get to sample some results from each stage of their maturity. I am hoping that this will give me a better idea of when and at what point to harvest my next grow.

Here are a couple of pics of the stalks that I chopped the other night to launch this plan....

This was the first stalk I chopped. It came from one of the two plants that are showing the most red hairs, 60-75%. Trics are still 50/50, clear/cloudy.

This is the 2nd stalk I took. Larger & more bud, but only about 25% red hairs and also about 50/50, but no amber.

I have these girls first trim and hanging where there is little to no air blowing on them, very little circulation that I don't create, no strong or steady light can reach them, RH has ranged from 63 to 59%, temp has ranged about 71 - 74 F.

If these conditions aren't right & going to give me good results, please advise????

Happy! 8-)
