New in the forum!

Postby Ambrosio » Sat Mar 02, 2013 6:27 pm

Hello I'm from Venezuela and new in these forum and also in growing indoors.... since we've been here in Venezuela with a weed crisis', we don't get anything from Colombia and we don't have grow culture, I've decided to start my own small indoor.... I've been looking for the best Led lamp to grow and in these same forum I found some one talking about the Solar Storm 800W but I don't now if this lamp is too much for my grow-room. my grow room size is 57"Wide x 30"deep x 78"tall, Is this Led lamp too much for this grow room or I will be ok with it..... I would appreciate any help on this.... Thanks!!!! and nice grow for you all!!!!

54"x30" is kind of an odd shaped room for a single light, The SS800w won't cover the 54" length well and it's a lot of light for the 30" width. Is that space your only option?

Hi SisterMaryElephant! Thanks a lot for your reply post, I just planing those measurements because I saw a webpage selling a grow room with those measurements and I thought they would work fine. Im just a newbie growing indoors, so I am very confused.

also I was taking a look for the Lumigrow pro series which they seem pretty good and professionals but I don't see any post on them.... What measurements would you recommend me in order to use a Lumigrow 325? I talk to a sale representative and he told me that the Pro 325 is equivalent a 1000w HID? I liked a lot this lamp because it gives you the possibility to regulate all the light spectrum...

anyone else has used the Lumigro Pro 325? I need help, I don't want to make too many errors I cant afford it.

Thanks!!!!

If you want a SolarStorm 800w CLW suggests up to a 4x4 or 16 sqft but slightly smaller would be better. If it's an actual draw of 325w the Lumigrow light would cover about 2x3 or 6 square feet but the specs don't say if they use 3w or 5w diodes so you'll still want to stick to small plants like SOG/SCROG.

The Lumigrow 325 is NOT even close to a 1000w HID, they lied to you.

What about if I put two SS400W side by side in those measurement that I gave you 57"Wide x 30"deep or in a 77"Wide x 47"deep, would that work fine? I just take those measurements because it is the nearest measurements of a regular closet, for discretion..... what do you think?

Thanks for all your help bro!!!

Yes, 2 SS400w in a 57" x 30" space would be over 50w sqft and within the available footprint. The plants should like it...

Hello There.

I am new and I am trying to change the name of my Journal. I see that you can change it in the new post area... but it does not actually save the new title name when posted. lol! If anyone could help it would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

ok thanks. I think that putting the strain name up, will hopefully get more views and makes way make sense than the way it was.
