Purple monkey, I just started my new grow and I am using Hempy buckets. The material I'm using is 75 percent washed perlite and 25 percent vermiculite. I added a drain with a stopper near the bottom and filled the bottom with clay pellets. I can pull the stopper for a good root flush if needed. When I started I was using a pH of 6.2, but my rinseate was coming out 7.8. I began flushing the buckets with a 5.5 pH until I got the rinseate to read 6.0 plus. I am now using a pH of 6 to 6.2 for both general watering and feeding. Today I will flush and feed and will check my reinstate both during flush and feeding. My lower leaves had begun to yellow before transplanting but now they have recovered and in am seeing growth.
In my last grow, and SME will attest to this, i had hell keeping my pH right in the soil grow. Good luck with this grow, GR
Thanks for stopping in GR, I was going to use hempies but a friend of mine gave me an EG as an early Christmas present, and it seems to work wonders so far. Why are you feeding a 6 to 6.2? Does it need to be a higher ph than hydro? I like the idea of being able to drain and flush easier. I think I will have to go back to using soil outside, the ones in soil currently I will be taking out to my greenhouse by February even if I have to have a heater but I will start flowering before taking them out. I want to see if they will finish flowering in spring sun before the light gets to be to much outside
Good catch PM, I'd think that the pH should be 5.8 like in most hydro...
I threw some old seeds in my backyard lawn about 10+ years ago and one of them sprouted in early January but it kept vegging past spring. If it hadn't been a male the thing would have gotten huge outside before next fall. So, I think if you put it outside in Feb, it could keep flowering or it could revert back to veg. Hopefully the stress wouldn't make it turn hermaphroditic but that would be a good thing to know about your strain, even if it did.

Two of the leaves on my Harry skywalker dried out I think it was due to them wanting to lay on the coco cover thing. Salt build up or just a bit of nute burn from soaking it up foliar style, since it only happened to one of them but everything looks fine from new growth. I planted 2 more seedlings and one more on the way. Seeing lots of healthy white roots from both HS plants, still a stable ph of 5.8 I dropped the temp in the EG to 61 today with ice bottles moved the SS to 16" from canopy which raised canopy temp to 79 humidity is 65% currently but fluctuates from 49-70 now more pictures once the final seedling is in. I'm leaving one spot open for easy matenience, I will be changing my res in probably the next two weeks
Things seem to be moving much quicker daily the first two HS plants are maybe an inch tall. Still on 24/0 temp 79 humidity 50-65 res temp 62 although it got kinda warm this afternoon up to 71 degrees at the surface, maybe one more week till I change the Res and up the nutes. it is down about an inch from where I started

Update: plants look wonderful tight internode spacing they might be all of 3 inches tall maybe not even that. The roots of both HS plants have hit the res and are starting to drink a lot more water I still have my original brew in and I will probably change out sometime next week. They look very indica dominant to me nice fat dark green leaves and my blue og and ultrasour are coming a long slowly but surely

Update: I noticed last night after dinner that the leaves on my two HS plants were not as dark as they were the night before so I decided to go ahead and do a res change.
New brew:
60 ml GH FloraMicro 120 ml GH FloraBloom 10 gal R.O. Let mix (drip only to res not to net pots) checked after an hour ph was 4.5 Added: 10ml GH PH up Mixed with big spoon then allowed to drip 1 hour ph was 5.8 started watering net pots checked again 4 hours later (insomnia) still 5.8 checked 4 hours after that still 5.8 (stabilized)
Room temp: 80 RH: 56% Res temp: 63 Ph: 5.8 Nutes 6-12 RO: 10 gal
Growth is exploding but very short dense tightly noded plants at this point I'm not sure there is any sativa in the phenos but time will tell. I was told by the breeder of the herojuana male that I crossed with my skywalker of kush that when he grew the herojuana under HID light that the leaves grow very long and wide and most of the fan leaves got bigger than your head but when he grew some under (less powerful) led panels the leaves grew in short fat and dark. I will post more pics in a few days
Looks like you've got it figured out and dialed in already, good job!
