Re: New project

Update: these are the shortest/bushiest plants I have ever seen they look like ground cover. The internodal length is so close together I can't tell how many nodes there are. I say they are a max of 3 inches tall but I'm not sure they are quite even 3 inches. it is becoming increasingly obvious that they are 2 different phenos by the shape of the leaves( both are super short) it will be a while till I can take clones.

I had a bit of nute burn because I only put 9 gals and not 10. That's what I get for medicating and forgetting about one gal that was left in my vehicle lol. I Phed it to 5.7 and got it nice and cold before adding it in to the res

I have been running my ss400 with the UVB on since day 1
24/0 and I have the SS sitting about 14 inches from the canopy temps between 77-81 humidity has dropped and now sits around 45% but I'm ok with that for now. Res temp is currently 61.5

The ultrasour will have roots in the brew in the next 2 days and I still have yet to see any roots from the blue og but it is growing very nicely. I will post more pictures in a couple of days maybe tonight if I get bored.

Having some issues but none from any new growth. Looks like maybe calcium but I figured I would post it here first. Maybe these pictures can help someone identify a similar problem in the future.

Ph:5.8
Res temp: 64
Room temp:77
R/H: 42

Also I keep reading different top off methods. Is it easiest to just top off with Phed r.o.?

What do the stems and petioles look like? Pic us... ;)

Are you sure that's not something from the bottom leaves lying on the wet covers?

I'd say it's probably not calcium (immobile nutrients problems usually show up on top first, mobile elements show problems on bottom first) but it could be magnesium, too much N or a slight P def caused by too much N. :(

RO is hard to pH since it has virtually no ions. You can top off with RO and then pH the whole system but only add up to half of the reservoir capacity before doing a drain and refill.

It probably is from the leaves laying in the coco covers, I'd make them stretch but that's what I'm trying to avoid. Growth seems strong.....if I could get a picture of the stems I would....I'm sure I can get a blurry picture of the stems. It doesn't seem to be affecting the blue og or the ultrasour and they are much younger. Some of the leaves deeper in that are setting right on the covers look much more burnt should I move the drip under the coco cover?

You could but it may not help if it still gets wet. Eventually they'll grow taller so I'd wait and see or cover the tops of the coco covers with panda film to keep the leaves from soaking up extra stuff. You could try adding .5 grams of epsom salt/gallon and see if helps at all but you have multiple possibilities so you'd only be guessing.

I doubt it since the Sun has more of it than the lights do but he can always switch it off to test if he wants...

yeah, probably not.

but 14 inches away from young plants was my thinking. it wouldn't be light burn from too much light but more like a "sunburn" from too much UV.

at what age or life cycle does cannabis start producing trichomes?

I thought it might be how close the light was but it's affecting older leaves, ones that don't see as much light. I would expect that if it was light burn that it would happen at the top of the plant. I moved the drip emitters underneath the coco covers to see if that helps. I'm betting that it is from them getting salt buildup on them. Anyways though I have always run my ss400 with the uv on. I don't see where the plants would mind the uv like SME said the sun does have more of it. But I did move the light up to 16" last night in hopes they will stretch a little. I figure that by February 7th I will be ready for 12/12
