I've been considering a pyrethrum bomb.
Azamax, according to the package, is the active ingredient in neem.
The mighty bomb is peppermint, lemongrass, geranium and rosemary. I think they both worked well, and attribute any mites left over to my application technique more than the products. My foliage goes right down to the pots, I can't seem to find a definitive answer on trimming plants in flower, so have been doing nothing about it in fear of doing the wrong thing.
The Azamax is a neat little system. It comes with a pump sprayer with a tip that can be angled up or down, which made spraying the undersides easier. For $13 I got the sprayer and ten individual vials of the product, which one mixes with water in the sprayer. A better sprayer, Less plastic waste, and 160 oz of product, all for half what one 32oz spray bottle of the mighty bomb costs.
Literature states that it can be used on both fruits and plants up to and past the time of harvest. I'm not about to test that, but it does give me a better feeling about using it now.

Most crops can be washed before consumption so it'd be wise to take more caution with cannabis. ;)

Going into week 5. Buds are plumping. Mites are under control. Racing stripes are quickly fading, so looks like the phosphorus issue has been rectified. Temps running 72-77°. Humidity 40-60%.
Steady as she goes. Bought a crappy 60x scope that attaches to my phone.
Photos are from mid week.

So, I just spent an hour cruising the forums here, reading about the UVB lights. There does not seem to be a definite answer on when, how far away, how long, etc.
I just flipped mine on. Ive been keeping the light about 18" from the main canopy. The two main tops, however, are much closer, maybe 10" away. I bumped the light up 2". Is that too close? Can I leave them on for the full 12?

I'm thinking I might start a separate topic devoted to this in the CLW manufacturer forum, as it does seem to be the one thing that appears to vary significantly between grows.

There are very few definitive answers when it comes to growing, it's part science and part art. ;)

Keep an eye on the flowers that are closest to the light, watch for bleaching, if it happens move the light up more. Yes, you can leave the UVB on for the full 12 hours. CLW suggests using the UVB for the last 2-4 weeks but the Sun provides it all of the time. *shrug*

There is already a UV topic in the "New LED Users" forum, this forum is for GFP grow journals.

After having the UVB on for 2 hours last night and 1/2 hour this morning, the leaf tips on my highest tops have started to curl under. I moved the light up to about 18" above the highest top, and will check it at noon.

Steady as she goes. Week six. Low humidity has been a problem, so I've been adding water to the catch basin and switched the exhaust fan over to a dehumidistat set at 50%. I didn't want to spend all that cash on a controller, so instead, I wired a home line voltage dehumidistat into a short extension cord. Works fine and I saved $50. So far, it's hardly even turned on, and I've brought the humidity back up into the 40s.
The person I got the plants from has been harvesting at 8 weeks. Lots of red hairs and the trichomes are showing some cloudiness. I'm thinking these plants may go a little longer than 8 weeks, tho, unless things develop quicker than I expect. I'll be keeping a close eye on things from here on in.

Looking very nice there Bacorama.

Don't over do it with the humidity, low during flower is not a bad thing, don't want to develop any pathogens.

From what I've read, under 50% is safe. I've been dealing with low 20s for over a week now. I still haven't eradicated the mites 100%, although I have seriously knocked them back to almost zero. The dryness was just making the mite problem worse, and i was getting a little worried about the plants "breathing" properly. Too late to spray anything, so I'm hoping the increase in humidity will slow them down for these last weeks, as well as up the leaf transpiration.
