They are attracted to it, they end up getting into it and they get drunk and drown. It works. Put it in a shallow small bowl and place it in your grow area.
Spider mites like low humidity and hate high humidity but you don't want to risk mildew/mold late in flower either.

I think that the amount of amber is a personal choice (although I like a bit more) and I think extended flushing is a waste.

SME, I seem to remember reading your view on flushing somewhere else in the forums, here. Im still cautious, so going the safer than sorry route, just in case. My wife prefers a heady stone, hence the choice to go light on the amber. As far as my flush goes, their last regular feeding was thursday of last week(I think), watered on Monday or Tuesday. I figured I would skip one feeding and just go with one more watering tomorrow or Saturday, and then pull the plants when they get thirsty. That should put me into the middle of next week. Any opinions opinions on leaving the lights off for 24 hrs before pulling them?
This all happened a little quicker than I expected, my clones aren't even in dirt, yet, so there will be a little down time in the flowering tent. I guess it will give me some time to bomb the tent and make sure the mites are gone before I start the second round.
Starving the plant for the last week or two is only going to hurt your yield, the dry and cure is more important than flushing. They are your plants though.
24 hours of dark is also not needed, in fact I like to harvest after the lights come on and they perk up but that's also a matter of opinion.
YMMV...
