For a beginner, wick, ebb and flow or a drip system like Bato bucket is probably easiest and cheapest. Maybe a hempy bucket which is like the bato bucket just simplified. There are dozens of designs, some simple, some elaborate.

thank you that helps now I have more info to help me make advancements in my growing . see im going to do all this with these ss400 we are putting a room together now and he said he wants to grow hydro . the ss400 is working really good . I started the 12/12 5 days ago . all the spots are stopping .

Windows Paint can do it, one at a time, if you want batch/folder processing then you'd need an app and most of the apps that work with vista or above should work with 8.1 too.

im 2 weeks in to flower and these 2 look really good I think im going to use coco core on my next grow I like the way It drains of much better than soil. dose any body no more about this stuff . im still learning about it.

well I now no what the cause of the rust color on my leafs is , it is a sun burn from the UVB light .I left it on for 4 hr bad news , It wood be a good idea to install a timer in steed of a switch for that light only so this will never happen to some one eles . I am 4 weeks in flower and they are looking very good . and yes I no its only 10 min at a time 3 times a day witch is why I think a 10 min timer is the best thing.
