Appreciate the kind words man...I finally do have some good looking buds going now, but not as many flower sites coming up as others do, that's why I laugh about growing leaves!! In order to establish solid benchmarks for my strains, I went "au natural" with no lst, flm, trimming or topping of any kind. So this time around I have one huge main cola instead of multiple average size colas...which is better, only time and future grows will tell I guess. Good luck man, I'll be watching...ICB
Thanks for your advice SME,
Man Cervantes is amazing...I love watching his videos. He's a walking encyclopedia! Couldn't find an NPK analysis on the bags of FFOF or FFHF, but I went ahead and ordered the Botanicare Pure Blend Pro for Soil. It should be here by Wednesday...should have about a month of flowering left to benefit from this food! (The CBD Critical Mass's trichomes are getting cloudy, so I'm expecting them to turn amber very soon, and probably be harvesting her next week sometime).
So I have two questions for you: 1) Harvesting...do you recommend harvesting the whole plant at once, and using the smaller underdeveloped buds for hash, or selective harvesting as they ripen, from the top down, giving the lower buds extra time and light exposure to further develop over a couple of extra weeks? I know this will add complexity to the drying and curing process.
2) I had a minor accident while watering the girls before I left on Saturday morning...I moved the girls to an area to allow some good flooding for the watering, and the White Rhino got knocked over and crashed against a wall...pretty much bent the main stalk at a 90 degree angle just above the soil line!! It was bad. I put her back into the corner and propped her up...they were asleep when I came home tonight...not sure what to expect tomorrow. I have nightmares about her turning hermie on me....other than keeping a close eye on her....any warnings, ideas, etc?? Am I risking my garden?
Thanks....I will post pics tomorrow for my weekly update!
Cervantes is a guru, for sure, but he's just a man. He doesn't have special knowledge that other people don't know or that other people can't learn, just a *lot* of experience.
1) Yes. Either one works but I chop them all at once because I'm too lazy to do selectively harvest and I used to grow enough that I never had to worry about the less developed stuff.
2) Did the trunk BREAK or just bend? If it heals it could herm but it also may not, all you can do is watch (and post pictures) at this point.

Ok, here is the weekly update. In the interest of brevity, I will start with the good news. CBD Critical Mass is just exploding...the buds are thicker, and dripping in resin, trichomes are 80% cloudy, still no ambers visible. White hairs have mostly turned red as well. Buds at middle level are looking remarkably developed as well, so I may indeed go for 100% harvest on this lady, likely within a week...

Northern Light Blue is beginning to catch up quickly, it's a slower 100% Indica and you can see the enormous main cola filling up here. Getting some nice blue hues as well, not really visible in the pics quite yet.

Blueberry is third in maturity so far, I re-read the material from the Dutch Passion company, and they said this girl is a slow developer...again nice colors, and both the NLB and this one are showing definite hunger...waiting for the food to arrive, hopefully tomorrow!

And now for the bad new. The White Rhino seems to have arrested development, and the leaves are turning crispy, are rust colored and starting to curling up. I've attached pictures of the stalk at the ground level, and it is intact. Unfortunately, as soon as I moved it out of its corner, it just fell over. It appears to have broken under the soil in the root ball...it just flops any direction it is not supported. I put it back into the corner for now...it shows zero sign of hermie, but also very little sign of any growth since the incident...
Should I add more soil to the top and maybe stake it for more support, or should I just pull the plug, and use it for hash?? I guess it's either that or continuing to wait out the repairing vs. hermie route...sad day here.

Thanks, and as always, welcome any thoughts, comments or recommendations are welcomed!
sorry to hear about your loss! i don't know much about plant repair.
that critical mass is supposed to be a huge yielder isn't it? if you have some time, search for "heath robinson critical mass tree grow". this guy might be one of the best growers i've ever seen. he gets 2 grams/watt consistently
Unfortunately, I think the broken one is done for. I'd just chop it. If it happened in veg, maybe I'd try to fix it but at this stage...not so much.
Live and learn...

Thanks for the feedback and words of advice! I've never shown anyone my ladies like this, so it's great to get honest feedback from aficionados like yourselves...and the praise feels pretty cool to be honest! Those CBD buds have me just drooling at them I've got to admit!!
So RKY yes, the CBD Critical Mass was indeed touted as a heavy producer, and could supposedly provides upwards of 500g growing outdoors, and 300g indoors...of course, I think you were correct in using the verbiage "tree" in order to get anything like that. That said, it is absolutely stunning to look at, the trich's at the middle and even lower levels are astounding, something I've only previously seen on main colas. Every single flower site has developed into a nice, thick dense bud....with just a few popcorn types on the very bottom. Smells very sweet, like honey...This one is definitely on the list for the next grow!!
It has also been bred for very high CBD content/low THC content...6% each...so it will be an experiment in every sense of the word! Hoping it will allow me to cut back on my dilaudid...
After the broken back healed, they just let me know that I have 5 ruptured discs, disc desiccation, 2 bone spurs and severe facet hypertrophy with acute arthritis...and it's not going to get any better with age...hey, at least I'm walking and alive!
The Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Soil arrived today, and I fed the Blueberry and the Northern Light Blue...just plain RO for the CBD as harvest nears....and...well...I have taken your advice and hung the White Rhino up to dry.
The thought of her turning Hermie and seeding my garden was just too much to risk...
Hopefully the others will take up the space..
As far as getting anything useful from the White Rhino...do you think I'm looking at Hash, or could anything smoke-able come from her??
Wow, your back is much worse than mine, I didn't get a lot of relief from dilaudid so they have my on morphine but my surgery is next month so, hopefully, I'll be able to get off of that in the near future. I do find that I need the THC *and* the CBD to get the best results and that does reduce my need for the morphine so I hope the CBD CM helps you.
Trim it, cure it and test it.

Time for my weekly update...my last update crashed when I tried to post it last time, so I'm sorry if this gets posted twice!
Highlights for today: CBD is nearing optimum time for harvesting...saw my first amber trichome this morning...all the others are cloudy with big heavy balls leaning over...thinking about 4-5 more days!

NLB is turning blue/purple! I got a good shot of some color this time...I did notice some yellowing of the fan leaves after the first feeding, so today I dropped the amount of food from 25ml/gal to 20ml/gal...was this correct? It actually follows the instructions assuming I have three weeks to go...

Finally, here is a shot of the White Rhino, which as you know I chopped early due to injury. Was actually very heavy and wet deep inside, which surprised me. I did some minor trimming to aid in the drying process, and will do a full trim before curing. Not too bad on size given the early harvest!
