just another quick update before I head off to work Ill post more picture then next, I took my fuchsia out of the grow tent and have it in the living room its making a good conversation piece and my mom stop and scooped up my little bougainvillea clone. Im sad but at the same time I felt like I had to many plants in the grow tent. My light timer finally came in happy about that and bought a 5 pack of Cheese Quake while i was at it. but anyhow heres just a couple of picture

I am not using any type of feed but what's in the ocean forest for the veg state and plan to switch to subcools mix. I'm new to indoor growing I've grown outdoors just with soil like ocean forest for years but only with vegetables I've haven't had any experience with cannabis thou. I had an old friend from college he's an old timer look at my plants to check out two plants the leafs are droppy he said he couldn't tell because one of the plants was from seed bag so it could be genetics. Idk myself thou I'll take ph reading tonight or 2morrow morning
I certainly wouldn't count on that soil taking cannabis plants through a several week vegetative cycle without supplementing nutrients. Nutrient problems can be compounded by not having the right pH to facilitate uptake. Don't ignore pH and don't be afraid to give them nutrients as they grow either. You should always check the basics, temp/humidity/pH so you know those are good if other problems arise.

So I came home from work to a horrible site the timer that controls my fan and exhaust fan failed and my temperature in there was high I could feel the heat before even opening the grow tent. I don't know how long the fans were off but I can say the heat affected some of my plants. On SB #0 Whats your advice on her? When I touch the leafs they feel a little rough instead of smooth like my other plants.

Now for The TGA team I by chance got lucky on Qrazy Train and TGA list this strain good for the pacific northwest areas and out of all the cannabis sprouts the Qrazy Train were the last to be germinated but are the best looking out of the group

I looked up more TGA strains and Im hunting down The Void, it's suppose to be another strain good for the pacific northwest area.
Real question is what is ur advice on SB 0 the dark areas are a little rough Whats your take on it SME?
Im looking for another timer as well Im still using the one that failed I reset it but I need to replace it fast.
Just did another quick check on the girls the timer for my lights is working great, the one for the fans is working as well for now. A thought came across maybe the dark marks on SB #0 is from the cold temps at night? I have the light 17'' from the tops of the plants. But I did have the light much closer last week. Another reason a hydro set scares me if something electrical fails. But I guess everything has pros and cons right
just checking out your grow and some of the pix. is the temp really 63F? i would go for closer to 80 degrees for Veg stage and for the young sprouts especially.
and don't let hydro scare you off. there is something called a "hempy bucket" (google it) that is the simplest form of hydro. no moving parts. but it's technically hydro.
thanks for stopping by and for the advice rkymtnman yeah Keeping my temperatures up is a challenge for me.
Today I was able to stop by my local grow shop and after an hour of talking to the manager I picked up some Dr.Earth Fish meal. I test my plants soil and the Ph result showed neutral across the board but there is a lack of food for my plants in the N-P-K areas. I started from seed in the ocean forest we are in wk 4 1/2 or so. So the food supply must be low now. I tested SB #0 Ph was good but no food. The Ocean forest I'm using has been sitting for around 5 or 6 months.
The 2nd test was on the soil, I wanted to see if the soil itself was bad.
After a long talk with the manager about all types of growing subjects she also helped me pick out some food for my ladies. I left the shop with some Dr.Earth

I took about an 1''-1 1/2'' of top soil off for the fish meal to go ontop
some of the girls waiting in-line to get dressed

then placed new ocean forest ontop of the fish meal
After I was all done with the fish meal, watered and mist
after all the ladies top dressed then covered

I'd be shooting for pH closer to 6.5 than 7.0 too...
The fishmeal will help some but cannabis needs more than just NPK (and it'll want more P when you flower) so watch for deficiencies.
I actually think hydro is easier (and better) than soil but you do have to make sure everything works. DWC is great but if you add a controller bucket or use RDWC it's easier to maintain. Pros and cons is absolutely true...

Hey everyone just another quick update. I think the issue to my SB# 0 was mainly cold temperatures at night I have a heater in there now on a timer. I'm waiting on some food for the girls to get here, I'm trying my best to stay as organic as I can but any how sadly my only jalapeno was attack by my chicken =/...I got distracted and yeah well the jalapeno was hurt quite a bit. But anyhow I think I got lucky when I went and bought my nutrients but hey its all about learning for me =)
I went on a limb on the soil I guess curiosity got the best of me. But In the final flowering stage Im going to use a mix of ocean forest and pot of gold by Dr.Earth but I saw this....

I re-transplanted the girls to test out this soil before moving to their final stop for their flowering stage. Now I'm debating when & how Im going to start trainning the girls. I think Ill do each of the canni ladies in different stages of topping and LST and at different node sites. Playing with the thought of mini Scrog with a tomato cage most of the girls got the tips of their leaves timered back a little bit
SB# 0 showed dark discoloration before the fish meal and now...
