Well it was going good.

I had to disconnect the chiller and send it off to its new owner. My plan was to have another to go in its place, but as you know, that didn't happen. Now I dont have enough cash, to buy a third. (still haven't received cash back from the first guy, and Paypal is holding the money for this one, till he receives it)

The plants Were doing great. Lol. Especially for being 1 day into there 7th week. The trichs are about 80/20 cloudy/amber. Which is about 2 weeks early for this strain. (Been letting AJ go 10 weeks from flip) So far Ive done this strain under HPS, Blackstar LED, and the SolarStorm, and I have a pretty good knowledge of it, (Been growing it for 2yrs) but Ive never seen it finish this early. Ive even gone back, and rechecked on my calendar, to make sure I wasnt stoned, and counted wrong. Not the case! So I guess I will give them some final Phase this weekend, then some plain water for the rest of the week, and wack-em! Peace. h

If you had a spare window AC unit that you could sacrifice you could build one but it would be best outside or in a garage, etc. because it'll be large, hot and loud. ;)

Ya, the wife is pretty picky about the way the house looks, (hence the grow cab) I guess I am too. So something ghetto will never fly. I have seen a lot of different ones though, from refrigerators to ac units, so I know there is cheaper routes. I have found one on cl to use for now. Its a 1/10hp, and he's asking 200, gonna offer 150. He might take it, its been up for 2 weeks now.
I'm just waiting for the refund for the one I got screwed on. I did end up getting an extra 50 bucks out of him, for the problems. h

Cool, 1/10 will still rock your 12 gallon reservoir. Don't freeze it. ;)

Lol, OK I'll keep that in mind. I talked to him yesterday, and he seems pretty anxious to get rid of it, so hopefully we can come to an agree-able price. like I said, just waiting on eBay! heres a link to the chiller I've been looking at. Peace. h

Oops, I was wrong. Its a 1/12 hp. Should be OK though as its still 4x bigger than the one I had.

Yeah, still, 1/12 is still room for more load later, if needed. It says 60 gallon tank so you should just be able to set it at your desired temp and let it go. Happy plants...

End of week 7 update
Good news! (Finally)

Paypal released my cash, so I called on a 1/12hp chiller I found on Craigslist. Talked him down to $160, and he threw in the 500gph mag drive pump. Ironically its the same one I bought for my set-up, so now I have a spare! She started out at 75, and I just checked after an hour, and a half, and its 67.....Sweet! About time I had a good day.

Ive been running Final Phase for the past 3 days, so after getting the chiller up and running. I went ahead and drained the res, and just filled with plain water. I really dont think they will even make it another week. we'll see. Trichs are 70/30 now, and the buds are hard as rocks. There is a definite improvement over the Blackstars. May still use them as supplemental lighting if I can deal with the heat.

OK, enough bullshiting. See for yourself. h
