Finally the chiller. Couldn't mount it on the roof, as it is twice as big, as the last one. Im gonna get/make a small table for it, so the lines are as level as possible. This will have a much higher flow than the previous design. Peace everybody! h

Hey hemi, I don't know how much room you have for that "table" to hold the chiller...but....why not make it a larger reservoir? Just have a lid (table top) to put the chiller on. That allows you to increase your res and you can build a nice "table" to put the chiller on. 
If its 18" x 24" x 24" then you'd add 44.8 gallons. Of course, you'll want to use what the appropriate size for the space and water level you need but you get the point.

Where were you 2 days ago? Lol. I made a nice stand out of some cherry I had laying around. Have been looking at control pots, http://www.ebay.com/itm/200736395436?ss ... 3353wt_963 and if I go that route, I will mount this res on the wall, and coupled with the buckets and controller, it should add another 10gal. I would be more than happy with that.
I also dont know that chiller could handle too much more. They grossly over rate them. this one is at 65, and gets to 70 about 8hrs in. Now I expect it to move a couple degrees, but if its moving that much with 10gal, whats it gonna do with 20! The funny thing is, all my stuff is insulated, and these things are supposed to be for fish tanks? They dont have any insulation! To do a 100gal fishtank you need a 1hp model, (good for 1000gal) and it wouldnt surprise me if that struggled a bit.
Been cuttin down buds for the past days, and I am very impressed. 1) they are only at 7 1/2 weeks, and the trichs are 60/40. and trimming buds is becoming quite messy. Constantly cleaning the scissors, and the buds are like somebody poured suryp on them. The Solar Storm definately smokes a 600w HPS! I cant wait to try the smoke! h

I think the chiller would would better with more water because a larger volume of water can handle a larger heat load. It could be that your pump is too big for the chiller, check specs and recommendations for the right pump.
You're going to switch to ebb and flow buckets from your stadium? If that's the route you want you can build your own system cheaper but that is a decent controller and it's built for you.
I'm looking forward to your dried weight. I've heard that the SS is about the same as a 600w HPS and you're reporting that it's better so dried results and a few more grows from other people using it and we'll know if my LED skepticism is unfounded now.

I beleive your skeptisism was founded.....As little as 2 years ago LEDs were crap, but as I stated before Ive grown this strain for about 2 years, and this is definitely best. The guys at the dispensary, just asked me if I minded if they send some in, to have it tested.......I should give him some of this! h

A quick update. The AJ cut, and dried, came out to 180 grams. I just cut the Pandora about 5 days ago, but its looking like about the same, or maybe a bit more. With all the problems Ive had Im happy with the results. Im not in it for the yield, but I definitley think a gram per watt wont be a problem. Really happy with the system results too, growing on the angle really reduced the amount of popcorn buds. Dont know what I'll do for edibles! LOL. Thats all folks! h

If you get yield up to 1g/w then the SS would be just a bit better than a 600w HPS that can do the same but, you're right, you will get better results as you fine tune your system. Thanks for sharing your results, it certainly helps people to see real world results.
Are you still considering ditching the stadium for ebb/flow? I'm still working on my new hybrid DWC system in my head until my back heals. I've decided against SOG and SCROG though, it'll either be 4 plants/kw or 4kw/plant (perhaps something in between) I guess. I found some nice 32 gallon buckets but the 140 gallon buckets are so expensive I'm still looking for alternatives.

Ya, Im giving it another go. Ive done a bunch of work to it this past week. Shortened the top 2 tiers about 6" in. I wrapped all the res's in silver bubble wrap, and wrapped the big drain pipes with "Boom Mat", (car stereo sound deadener/heat shield) and wrapped the small pipes with foam pipewrap. I also wrapped the main res with 3 more layers of silver bubble wrap, (almost didnt fit back in, Lol) so I hope the temp issues are over.
Did a bunch of straightening on the wires, (it was driving me crazy) and am adding the Blackstars back in, in areas where I had dark spots. 1 on the back wall, and 1 on the side, by lower 2 tiers.
140gal buckets? No wonder you have a bad back! Lol. I originally built my system to incorporate a vert SCROG, so I may start on that while they are vegging.
I will also be using "Dutch Master" "One" nutes. They claim to not need any additional Cal/Mag, which in my opinion, is one of the biggest issues with using the LED's.
The final weight on the Pandora was less than I thought too. Only 165 grams, still not horrible for 3 plants.
Heres some pics of the re-vamping. Still missing a bit of foam, but I'll get that tomorrow. Peace. h

Did you make room for a larger reservoir while you were rebuilding? I still need a chiller solution, I'll either convert an old 8k BTU window ac unit or buy something if I find a deal.
Yeah, the 140 gal buckets (45x45x17) are for trees, 2-4kw per plant, with vertical lighting. The 32 gal buckets (24x24x24-ish) are for 4plants/kw, shorter each but still a lot of room for roots. They'll both basically work the same, I want to try both to see if one is better than the other and which is easier to maintain.
Well, .5g/w while working out the bugs isn't that bad either. Your improvements and adjustments will be rewarded.
