Greetings all,
I’m a newbie to this website and a complete noob to the world of growing.
Initially, my son suggested that I register here. However, I was actually attracted by the level of professionalism, calm amiable atmosphere, and highly informative suggestions &contributions by both members and board staff.
In short, I am a recent cancer survivor and have several (painful) medical afflictions... and several months ago elected to grow my own medicine (MMJ) with my son’s help. We are primarily utilizing LED grow lights, having experimented with other light sources (natural sunlight, fluorescent, Metal Halide[?]… ).
I hope that I will be able to make just as many future contributions to the discussions here, as help received.
And believe you me, I’ll likely have maaaany questions going forward.

Greetings ! Found this site completely by accident while surfing. Been growing MMJ w/led's for over 2 years now. 1st light was a 130watt stealth led full-spectrum fixture puchased from the 1st LA hempcon. Grew from cuttings,2 strawberry diesels. 20 hr veg cycle for 3 weeks in 5 gal smart pots,w/roots organic soil, earth juice grow, bloom,catalist, and microblast regime. 8 weeks of 12/12 produced about 1& 3/4 oz per plant. Nice tight nugs, i cut the top half, waited 10 days for the bottom nugs to catch up. Now i have several of those 12" square lights that some believe aren't worth crap. The ones i have work very well. Totally worth the money spent. I'm just sayin, you don't have to spend 4,5,6 hundred dollars on led lights to grow top shelf MMJ, or any other vegtables. Not any more.

Is buying/selling/trading grow materials here allowed on this site/board?
I have 5 recently purchased ADVANCED LED grow lights, two of which were used in our test-bed.
At any rate, if "selling" isn't allowed here, do you know of any good sites I can try?

We're not on a schedule here, life matters...
As far as users selling new/used lights, I don't know. I'll have to bump that up the chain of command to find out. We do NOT allow spamming of commercial websites (even in signatures) but I don't know about private sales. I sure wouldn't buy a used LED light, if it wasn't good enough to keep, I wouldn't want it. Maybe that's just me...

Well, I still haven't heard from the bosses whether or not it's OK but I'm going to allow THIS ONE...for now. I'll shut down other attempts until I get on OK because it would be really easy for somebody to *claim* they have private lights for sale even if they aren't and I'm not going to let the forums get used like that without official permission. If they want to allow it maybe they'll create a forum just for that kind of trading.
