I just finished a flower cycle with the Solar Storm. It did not do the veg cycle, in which the plants got burned rom MH lights due to a fan going out and other unforeseen events. It was very disappointing, but when I switched to the LED lights the plants came back to green and I ended up with a good harvest. I can't wait to see what happens when everything goes right. LED no heat issues in a tight space. But since I did not use the light in the Veg cycle, I wanted to start my grow journal using only this light. Right now I am growing a Indica dominant hybrid. They are all from clones and came to me already 6-12" tall. My space is a secret gardens II 4x4 grow tent. I am growing in coco. It has only been a few days since transplanting and starting the grow, I can already see growth. The plants seem to love the light. There will be pictures and video to come

Since they've already been vegging for 6"-12", how long do you plan to veg under the SS before switching to flower?

How many hours per day do you veg for?

How many grams did you get last time and how many grams are you hoping for this time?

What kind of nutrients are you using?

Well my last grow I had 10 plants that got burned during Veg and were not to tall, total height full grown was about 20-24". They did come back under the LED and I got over 3/4oz per plant which I was pretty happy with considering the trauma they went through. I grew in soil (Happy Frog). But this time I have switched the medium to Coco, as I was also hit with white powdery fungus last grow as well (which I was able to defeat). I am going for a little longer grow period this time as I would like to insure that they get a lot taller, I'm looking to try and get 1 1/2-2oz per plant. Which is why I am letting them grow a little taller. I have been vegging for 18 hours per day, I have experimented with 20 hours vegging and 22 hrs and it seems to me they do better with a little more recovery time. But I would love to hear from everyone else, what works best for them. This is the first time I'm growing in Coco. Ive grown in hydro, soil, but coco this will be a first. I'm using the Coco A and Coco B, Algen, Multi zen, drip clean, and root excelerator. I have been keeping my ph between 5.6 and 6.0. Once I switch to Flower once they get to 18-20", there will be some new nutrients in the mix.
I do have a question for everyone, what distance from the plants does the LED work best for them. The manual says 18-24" is best, is this what everyone else has found? Is there a sweet spot say 20" from the plants? or further or closer? What distance works best???

Here is an update on my grow journal. I am in week 4 of flowering my buds look great. I have been growing in Coco and been using House and garden products, I am following there feeding chart for 8 weeks. The plants look great, the buds are starting to fill in I will update on what the weight is per plant.
