Solarflare grow update:

Update on my Autos. There all doing great and all in flowering now. Not alot of white pistils but now visible on all. These things all popped the surface August 21! So exactly 3 weeks to this day. Pretty sweet.

I dont think I got the freak sized Think Different but the 60 day variety which is just fine with me. Its growing very nicely and effortless just like all the rest. The Wappa Auto is a the freak monster of the bunch. Its like twice the size of all the others to include the other Wappa I am growing. I think it will produce very nicely. The stem is pretty thick as well for a 3 week old plant. The little Fruit is chugging along to. Pain in the ass it being in such a tiny pot...water very often with this one. Its ok though.

I am now giving them full on nutes. Sensi Bloom A/B, Carboload, Big Bud, Bud Candy, Cal Mag, and Silica. For the base nutes only giving about 30%-40% of recommended amount on the bottle. Seems to work well no nute burn at all.

Enjoy!

In this order...Wappa, Think Different, Wappa, Fruit.

Sick to think these things poped 7/24! End of my 5th week of flowering about give or take. Not really keeping track to much really.

Easy easy grow. Should of done some training but oh well. Buds are fatting up nicely. I was worried about how tall the center got but its all filling in nicely. I suspect at the end of this grow they will be fully filled in just about.

Update. Been 31/2 weeks about since they sprouted and girlies are growing fast. All are showing sex and developing bud sites now. The Wappa is the biggest about 16 inches by 14 inches wide. Think Different is moving along alot bushier and the little Fruit is growing like a champ as well.

6th week of flowering now. I have 2-3 more weeks depending. This weekend or middle of next week will be the last nutes and supplements. Buds are getting big as well now. The leaves are white all over as well.

So far this has been a easy grow. Never really any problems. The stretch kinda bothered me but like I said before thats charateristic of OG Kush and its filling in nicely. OG Kush #18 is plant number 18 of the original OG Kush line up. Its not just st8 OG Kush as they found it to be a higher yielder...even that OG Kush is not known to be a high yielder plant but a very potent high.

The smell is not bad either. Carbon filter more then handles anything that is thrown at. If your wondering if the bud is airy not at all...nice solid nuggets so far.

I only vegged to 8 inches and the two tall ones are 37 and 36 inches the other is 30 inches. 37 inches out of a .8 gallon pot is pretty astounding to me. At least I think it is.

I harvest and pre-dry for a couple of days (some people skip this) then submerge in tapwater that I change often the first few days (especially when the water gets green) The longer it's submerged the less that you need to change the water. When draining and refilling be extremely gentle because you don't want to knock off trichomes. If you want to catch whatever gets knocked off you can use the large bubble hash bags, assuming that you don't have more bud than bag. Once you get used to water curing you'll skip the bubble bags, less will fall off as you get used to the proccess of handling it. ;)

The last few days I use RO or distilled water for purity.

After about a week, I drain, pre-dry on newspaper (changed as needed) just to soak up some of the water for an hour or two, hang and re-dry (not using a food dehydrator) in a 70-ish degree room with a dehumidifier going full blast and fans for air circulation to keep the air as dry as possible. After it's completely dry (few days) it's ready. If you use one of those tiered drying racks be sure to not pack them too tight, you REALLY need a lot of dry airflow to make sure they don't mold up on you and you don't want water from the top tiers dripping down to the bottom tiers. The bag appeal suffers but it leeches out a lot of the sugars and chlorophyll that causes harshness. It'll probably weigh a little less than air-cured flowers but not by enough for me to care and, to me, it's more potent because the weight lost is plant matter and sugars not THC or CBD so it's more concentrated. Also, do your drying and curing in the dark, if possible.

After you get used to it, especially if you stick with one or two strains, you can try shortening the soak time by a day at a time until you're happy. One of my friends only soaks for 3 days but he uses a large body of water (fresh water pond) to do it. I prefer *pure* water for the last of it but his product is still great so YMMV... ;)

I'm still concerned about all of the stem growth but they're healthy and beautiful. Yield and sample testing is a better judge.

How about another spirograph top-down picture? ;)

Actually just did tonight and its great. My cat when I had them out about was playing with a branch and was gnawing on it so hung up the branch and let it dry. Harsh but a nice soaring high! I will be pleased with the product at the end. Had a nice citusy taste and I am a poor one to judge since I smoke cigs.

I will take top down if I can tomorrow. I measured them last night. I had thought it stopped growing at 32 but the 1 gallon is 37 inches, the 2 gallons are 36 and 30 inches. OG Kush #18 is the 18th plant that was selected since it was a higher yielder. So basically its a OG Kush. Reading up on OG it grows like how I am experiencing it. Big old stretch in flowering. Most scrog it. It also is just a average to below average yields but very potent. After reading did not feel so bad about the stretch. I was thinking maybe it was something I did.
