Nobody is blaming you HV, I take full responsibility because *I* did the calculations. I feel bad because I hate giving bad info. I must have brainlocked on the blackstars. While we're still waiting for somebody to hit the 1+g/w mark with LED, we're not far off so I still believe that somebody will do it with the SS.

That was an improvement on your first run so you're still making progress. Almost ready for your SCROG run or are you doing something different this time?

Other than my math mistake, how are you doing my friend? I haven't seen you around much, I hope you're feeling well.

Disclaimer:
I still use HID and I'm NOT an LED expert. All of my LED knowledge is from other parties or research so I can't say from first hand experience one way or another. I also run a medical grow consulting business in SoCal.

Sorry for the delay my friend, been real busy.

I know it will happen, and I will definitely be giving it a go real soon. I am gonna do the SCROG, and the strain is TGA Subcools "TimeWreck" About to pull cuts in the next few days. This will all be new to me, and I will have to keep the screen close as I have limited access to the underneath. Should be quite a challenge.

Ive kinda been taking a brake from the forums, been going pretty strong for a couple years now, and this summer has been a roller coaster. My health has been OK, needed a bit of a med adjustment, but all is good.

I guess the big news is, well long story short. I bought a 97 Monte Carlo about 5 years ago for $400. It had a blown headgasket, so I spent $300 on gaskets and machining, (The labor was all me....been racing since I was old enough to take apart a motor) and the wife said if you can trade it for what you want, "Go ahead" Lol.......She was real skeptical.

So I traded "this"

It had been stored under a tree for 2 years, was covered in pine needles, and ran like shit, so obviously you can see where my time has gone this last month. Its all a blurr, but she's running, and looking pretty decent now. Not to mention, I went from a car with a high book of $2800, to one with a low book of $6000. Not too shabby if I do say so myself.

Peace my friend! h

Well, I'm glad to hear you're healthy and still able to turn a wrench. My mechanic days are over, I fear, the epidural injections for my back didn't help and I really don't want to do vertebral fusion type surgery so 5-10 pounds is about all I can lift now.

Nice trade... ;)

Very cool car. You must really like red, or you've stared at so many LEDs that you've thought the car was green this whole time! jk!

I'm impressed with your stadium grow setup too. I can't wait to see your next grow! I'm rooting for you to break the 1g/w barrier!

Cheers,
Dave

I dont know how healthy I am, but the meds mask the outlying issues, so I dont feel the torture my body is going through. I still end up puking in the parking lot, when I over do it. (Thats usually when the wife makes me come in) I can only imagine what my neighbors think. But I dont care either! Lol. If I go at it too hard, (like yesterday) then I end up with what feels like a hangover, and spend the day in bed. (Like today) I am on a very small fixed income, so if I dont do the work myself, it wont get done.

Man that sucks about the back. My dad had a spinal fusion done in the mid 60s, and I remember him having a lot of backaches, but at least he was able to function. I would think they have come along way in the last 40 years, so you may want to look into it.

Thanks Bro, have a great weekend! h

Lol, one of my friends said that too! actually my favorite "is" Green, but I always seem to end up with Red. Not that I really choose I just always end up with it. So far 2 trucks, and 3 cars. This actually started with an 87 Buick Century that a buddy gave me. I did a bunch of cosmetic stuff, headliner, some trim, and a good polishing, then sold it for $900. I then bought the Monte, for $400, and spent $300 fixing it, then made the trade for the Vette. I got pretty lucky, as the old man that had it was pretty sour about the way he got it, so I was able to use that to help him make up his mind. He wanted to trade it for a truck for his Granddaughter, but I was able to convince him that it would be easier to trade the Monte for a truck than the Vette. I told him that people who are looking to trade trucks, are looking more for roominess, and gas mileage, and the Vette doesnt have either. It took me a good 45min to convince him, but we finally shook on it. Like I said before the car didnt look like this when I got it, but Ive always been known for my ability to polish a Turd!

Thank you Sir! I do like to make things. The system is pretty dialed in now. All I do is top off the res with 3 gallons of water/food a day, and adjust the PH. All the rest is automated, and other than between grow cleanings, is maintenance free. Stay tuned, and watch the rookie SCROGger Slam the GPW! Peace! h

I wish I had your mechanic skills hemivette. And a shop. With tools. ;)

Hey, do either of you happen to use silica additives? Stem strength has become an issue for me lately and the word on the street is that silica is the key. Thoughts?

I started working on cars at a very young age. I was raised on a horseranch/farm, so you learn how, or go bankrupt paying for someone else to do it! Lol. Then there is the trust thing, which I guess I dont have any. Ive seen what so called mechanics do to my friends cars, and I dont want any part of it. When I fix something, its an improvement over stock. When they fix something, your lucky if it will last as long as the original. I do have a "gnarly set of tools dude". Lol. (Fastimes) But no shop, so weather does play into the equation.

I do use Silica, (LizardSkin) and have noticed a difference, more so because I didnt start using it til about the 5th week on this run, and now my room looks like a puppet show. Hope this helps. h

I've never used it, I just use the old school method of keeping a fan blowing on the plant to strengthen them.
