What web browser do you use? Do you run any ad/java/web type blocker addons for your web browser that could be interfering? I just checked mine and it allows me to "choose." I can try to contact the admin but it sounds browser related. Another recent member had posting problems but he was using a phone (not a computer) and he never explained what the problem was. Other new members are posting pictures so I doubt it's the server/forum.

Sorry about the problem, I'll try to help you get it fixed.

I was trying to upload from my iPad. That was the problem. Button works on the computer.

Another comment on the design of the SolarStorm light. I am not sure the UVB lights are going to be useful for my applications. I understand from the company they boost productivity in the late stages of cannabis, but am researching this affect for the type of plants I grow... so have not reached a conclusion yet. The addition of these bulbs adds size and weight to the fixture.

You could probably download an alternative browser, like Chrome, that may allow you to upload but it might be something to do with apple products in general. At least we know now...

Finally got the protocol figured out to upload pics. Here's what came in the box.

Thanks...

The orchid in the attached photos is one of my SolarStorm 400w projects. I have had this orchid for nearly 10 years, during which time it has bloomed twice: When I first received it, and once again shortly after. It has not bloomed in at least 8 years tho its leaves are quite healthy. It has been living in an eastern facing window in a city apartment. I have now moved her to a suburban basement under the SS400w. The objective is to get her to produce a bloom shoot ... once this shoot is about two inches long, I will move her to a wind to complete blooming. Getting her to decide to start this blooming process is the challenge. She has recently been been fed a diluted mix of commercial nutrients designed for orchids (I had neglected to feed her regularly all these years).

Also enjoying the SS400W are some herbs I am trying to grow indoors during the winter season (I am in the Northeast). The herbs are Italian parsley, sage, thyme and rosemary. I hope to use these herbs for cooking throughout the winter and transplant them outdoors in the late spring.

You may also see a pruned small fountain grass in the background of the second photo. This strain of fountain grass is considered an annual in these parts, but I am hoping to winter it over and replant it in my patio pots next spring.

The other cuttings of geraniums, and the clones of African violets that can be seen in one of the pics will not fit under the SS400W so they will stay under the T5 fluros.

I don't know much about orchids, are they usually that difficult to flower? Is it usually lighting that helps or is it climate or other variables?

Orchids are quite tempermental. I have not been successful in getting them to rebloom so I'm on a mission now. My research tells me they require precise levels and type of light, nutrient, water, air quality, temperature, etc!! I am determined to figure out how to get the bloom going. They SHOULD bloom at least once a year. When they do, they are beautiful. My plants are otherwise very healthy... Just not bloomin'. The are a few forums for orchid growers, but not nearly as many or as prolific as the MJ forums... Where i am learning a lot about indoor gardening!

If other environmental conditions are required you might want to consider buying a small tent or greenhouse so you can better control humidity, co2 and temperature.

YMMV...
