Testing California Lightworks SolarStorm w/ 5gal dwc setup.

Postby Legalizeit » Wed Dec 14, 2011 2:12 am

I have order my solarstorm under the grower feedback program to see that Solarstorm meets up with expectations. Currently have pineapple express under a 400w mh light. It has been vegging for about 2-3 wks. The plant is about 8-9 in. tall. A little bit of nute burn from using a lil too much humboldt county bushmaster. I am really excited to see how this new led light works with the uvb settings.

Received the solarstorm led panel Friday night. Its a lil heavy, but it is an extremely bright light. Plant was officially 9 inches when the SolarStorm panel was turned on. On Monday Dec. 19 2011, I plan to switch the SolarStorm Light Panel to bloom Mode. I chose to do this to shed some light upon the new SolarStorm led light panel and blooming a plant.

Looking good...

Don't forget a few pictures without the LEDs on so we can see the colors better. A little larger on the pics would help my older eyes too. ;)

Plant to the left is Pineapple Express. The plants to the right are clones from a flowering blue widow plant. I have switched the SolarStorm Led To bloom today. Will let yall know when i see the white pistils appearing on the Pineapple Express. The Blue Widow clones, the pistils are already showing because they where taken from a flowering Blue Widow.

I sure like the looks of that express, did you start it from seed?

I have ordered a 10 gallon rubbermaid tote made for two plants. I will place in the dwc Pineapple Express and the shortest Blue Widow Clone I have. Just waiting patiently.

It has been exactly one week since i have put the SolarStorm Led Panel on bloom mode. The growth tips for the plants are making a roselike formation. Im still waiting to see the calyx with the hairs. I am currently running the dwc @ 1380 ppm and 6.2 ph. temperature is around 75 to 79 degrees. Pineapple express is 11 1/2 inches. I see that since using this Led, thhe internodes are more compact then with my hid light. I am also using bushmaster from Humbold county to minimize the plants vertical growth during the stretch phase of bloom. Since using cal mag, the burnt looking leaves are beginning to receive tecture and return back smooth.
