I am Eek, and I am doing my part fro California Light Works Grower Feedback Program. I have not received my light yet. I did pay for it so I am assuming it will be here in a few days. This will be the Solar Storm 400.
Right now I am finishing up an Auto Grow. I got some local beans, have harvested one round, and need about another three or four weeks to finish those. When the light comes I will let these auto's finish under the LED. Right now they are under an HPS 150. That is not enough as my auto's did not finish near in time. they took about 90+ days. However, I did seed a few branches of one of them, and got about 40 seeds. So that took a few extra days just for that. They need about 2 months before I can use those.
I have one of the auto's, which was a runt, and a few herbs and or vegetables (lettuce, rosemary, and spinach) under a 350 watt CFL grow light I made. Somehow, I found out just a few days ago, the runts roots ran sideways about a half inch under the soil until about two weeks ago, then it must have started to grow downward at that point, because now it has started to grow up finally.
I am on my way to using all organics. I am a soil guy, I have a version of super soil (doesn't everyone?) that I am going to use. I think it will be very manageable.
I cracked five Blackberry Kush beans I got locally on feb. 2 they are in "tier ready" solo cups. I have them under a four foot T-8 light getting ready to veg. They are about 2.5" tall. My grow space for the time being (everything is ever changing) is 2x3.5 (feet). In about a week, when the plants have there third set of leaves I will put them under the CFL until sexing. I am hoping for three ladies.
I have a secret project that I cannot talk about at the moment, until I have something in my hands, that I hope to share soon.
Okay I hope that is enough to start. I will cover my soil amendments, and such next post. I hope to have pictures of the arrival, and unboxing of this new CLW LED.
Until next time, bye for now (bfn)

Eek here. I want to cover my soil and containers here.
I have one regular 2 gallon bucket I got from a restaurant I worked at. and have 4 Hercules Root continers for my five girls.
When I say tier ready, it means the bottoms of the solo cups are removable, then you can plant the cup into the new containters, leaving the cup sticking out a few inches, this gives you more root space. Up potting twice can look quite funny. I have then put some river rock in the bottom inch or two of the containers so soil can drain easier.
when I up pot into the final containers, I will have a couple of inches of potting soil, then into the roots should extend into my "hot" soil.
SOIL
3 cf of roots organic 707 as a base 1,5 gallons of Perlite 2.5 LBS. of coco choir

1.25 cups Age Old Organics "root rally" with mychorrozai (how to spell?) 1.25 cups Age Old Organics "grow formula" 1.25 cups Age Old Organics "bloom formula" 2 Tbsp. Dolomite Lime 1.5 cups Excellerite (azomite) .25 cups epsom salts .5 cups polymar crystals 10 LBS. Organic worm castings 1 LBS. jamaican Bat guano (phos. heavy) 1 cup Happy Frog fruit and bloom with humic acid.
Okay I added the "happy frog at the end because of the humic acid in it. With the coco choir addition, it should be fine. I will keep an eye on it when the plants start hitting the soil

I just got an email from the Rep From CLW, he assured me my light was on the way. I will try to post a few pics, before I get mad, and go to my "dark place"
These are the Black berry kush's under 64 watt T-8's

These are some auto's that are finishing up. Got a bit of a low humidity issue, the humidifier I got does nothing, so I guess I gotta fork over a few bucks to fix that. However, when my tent arrives, a 3x3ft. (amazon.com 99$), that might be better able to hold in the moisture. If it would freakin' rain around here, it would help too. Hasn't been this dry in jan/feb in a long time, Probably poor gang busters since I said that. Okay, here are the girls,

Probably have a month or so to go, unless I can get the new LED on em quick.
I had a dwarf, she barely cracked, and was like this for about a month

I can't remember if I mentioned that I harvested a first round of auto's the last couple of weeks

If you want to raise the humidity while waiting on a new humidifier, just put some wet towels/clothes in a laundry basket or bucket in the room with a fan blowing on them. As they dry out pour more water on them.

Lazy, Glad you could make it over here Bro. Kinda different world here. Let's see how it goes. Evol, I know you made it here too, welcome. I will be all over your thread when you start posting.
California Lightworks should give me some kinda perk. I brought them a sale, and a huge amount of international exposure on AFN (if anyone wants the link, let me know)
Okay here a few pics, then I will put the girls in the tent and take a few more and post tonight as well. I need to do this because there is a big difference in the week since the first set of pics. Also I will show more of the California Lightworks Solar Storm 400.
I have cat damage. We had to take the little Kush's out of the room when we put up the tent, and we didn't pay enough attention, and before I knew it, a cat was chewing on the leaves. Loki (cat) even left a little bit of cat saliva on a leaf. I can't be 100% sure if it was Loki, but I do have a DNA sample. In case this goes to court. LOL
Okay here are some pics...

Alright, that should tide everyone over for a few. I have a cool mist humidifier now, and I have a 240 SFM air extractor on the way, and an 18" Carbon filter, and will figures some kind of fan. Also I think I will need a speed controller, or a two speed deal for the extractor.
bye for now
