Hi:

I am Canadian and know a bit about what is going on there. Tell me more about what your question is about, meaning, you want the Health Canada doctor signed license to grow? Also, how much do you know about how to get a signed authorization (which is valid for one year).

Many happy wishes, and karma.

I think he means that he has an arrest record for growing in the past and he wants to know if that will prevent him from getting a commercial grow license in the future.

Yes I am SME, I have anxiety attacks that can last for an hour, they had me on something and all it did was put me in a fog and I can't run heavy machinery on it, which sucks cause I work in construction but back to the matter at hand, I have a record for growing three plants, the only reason it stuck was because I have previous charges for a break and enter when I was youngerbut I was only trying to help myself, I mean, I don't know how, but when I smoke medicine as I feel the anxiety starting, for me the anxiety is hyperventilation and a feeling like I'm trying to swallow a golf ball but as I smoke its like water pouring through my veins and I can feel it wash my anxiety away,

And I've read the government page, the only thing it says for denial is if you've lied on your application, acceptance is family doctor signature for a referral to a specialist and the list of medications that didn't work, plus acceptance by the doctors that NJ is actually good, all the doc says after I tell him ^read previous post^ is I should quit, like wtf :/ I know I'm only 19 but I'm not stupid, I know what works and not for my body

Hello Painterman and SisterMaryElephant:

I understand your dilemma now. For SisterMary, In Canada, the government has been clamping way down on Commercial growers (only because the media has pointed out the few that grow "too much"). The situation is unique here because many patients need a grow (personal grow) license and can get one, as long as all forms are completed by a doctor. Unfortunately this has created a situation here, many doctors don't even see a patient to sign a form because the health care system here does not really reimburse them for signing, and signing can get them in deep hot water. It is a big catch 22..........to help, you they risk their career. Cops and the College of Physicians and Surgeons still don't like pot, even though the government allows it.

The docs that do sign, then charge exorbitant amounts, so you are then left in the middle. Pay extortion prices or increase risk by being a gardener. Meaning pay $500 to $1000.

Having a record will not prevent your doctor from signing the form, but the form is good for only one year, and you pay extortion prices.

I have recommendations, but PM me. As not we get into more personal aspects of how you get your medication you need.

It's not *my* question and painterwand isn't asking about a personal grow license, he asked about the commercial grow license that he'll need for the legal changes coming in 2014. You should know all of this...

I need neither (I have what I need) because I'm not from Canada.

To SisterMaryElephant:

How do you know painter is not asking about a personal grow license rather than a commercial one? Did you ask him?

I did. And he is talking about the personal one.

There have always been "proposed" new changes to cannabis growing in Canada.........which means, they debate over and over, that is the role of government.

At the end, the patient takes growing into their own hands, just like in America. And they do it carefully and quietly.

The title of this site is LEDGrowLightForum.com

That means people who come here want to know what LED light is best for them, and their needs. Top questions they have would be to know which maker has the best warranty. Which maker provides top notch anonymity. Which maker has the most science and technology behind their units. Those kinds of important questions and answers.

This site is bogus if it doesn't allow discussion of the best LED light makers and promotes only one brand. That then makes this a biased company owned site.

I did ask:

This forum does NOT promote just one brand although CLW does have it's own section here for their GFP journals. If you look in the Grow Journals section you'll see journals from growers using other lights too. We allow journals for any light, not just LED, but CLW is pretty popular so we have more journals from them. Don't confuse popularity with bias and if you don't like it here; you're free to leave but you should drop the attitude now.

Hope that helps but it wont...
