When to change to flowering

Postby Paradise » Thu Mar 07, 2013 9:23 pm

First grow with LEDS. Using Lumigrow ES330. Plants 7 inches tall. 4+ weeks old. Have not grown in years never indoors. When is the correct time to change the spectrum from the vegetative state to the flowering red spectrum using LEDS. :?:

When they are 1/2 to 1/3 the size that you want them to finish...

Thanks, plants are 14" moved to red yesterday,my 420 grow pots seem to be working fine. Next week will repot them to 3 gallon pots . I was told I can finish the flowering in them. I have a limited space will only be 24" grow to 30" in height.

With only 30" of headroom they're already too tall. :(

You might consider topping them then vegging for a few more days or LST to keep them shorter.

Another learning curve, just spoke to my buddy in Cali and told me to start training them by bending them slightly as they grow. to keep the high down and to get light penetration. I appreciate all the help and suggestions.

Simply bending them may not be enough now, you may need to actually tie the branches (including the top) down which is what LST is... ;)
