Sorry for crappy quality, don't have time to take stack exposures today, and I don't even have my macro rail with me, I wasn't expecting to take those pics for another 4 weeks.

First pic is 1:1 magnification, this is 1:3.5

For the first time since I've started my grow on January 25th, my PPM are falling.

I had been stable at 1000ppm/5.8 for three weeks now. I drained and replenished exactly 7 days ago, and PPM are at 800. About 6 gallon were drunk in 7 days.

I take this to mean they eat more than they drink, which means I need to feed them more?

I was currently draining and replenishing once every two weeks, it may not be the ideal thing to do anymore.

You could raise the ppm a bit and see what happens but as they mature they'll actually start using less food. If you see problems you can always back off a bit.

Less? I'm surprised, I thought it'd be more.

I was planning on starting my flush on day 55. Pure RO water + final phase. That's about 4 weeks away, so technically, I got two more drain&replenish to go.

I gotta say I'm pretty surprised at how hands-free this is. Passed the initial hiccups, I barely allot more than 1 hour a week overall to take care of them. It's great!

If they go 90 days then flushing at 55 days is *way* too soon. I don't think plants need to be flushed nearly as much as some people think, especially in hydro. I only flush, in *DWC for the last 24/48 hours before harvest and I've never used flushing additives.

YMMV...

The AN regimen suggests 14 days of flushing.

The science is good on flushing, but I can't say what kind of difference it would make in practice obviously. There is quite a lot more of evidence that properly drying and curing does make a difference over flushing. There are many schools of thought on this on Internet.

Im concerned if I wait until day 70-75 to flush it'll be too late.

Its not very important for now.

AN wants you to buy, and use, a *lot* of their products. I don't know what's in that final phase stuff but I bet it's over priced for what you get. :D

Hydro grows and soil grows are two very different animals. I know people that don't flush and I know people that use extended flushes but I've never met anyone that could tell the difference in a side by side taste test as long as the product was cured properly. In practice, curing makes a bigger difference than flushing, imho.

If you flush for 15 days, in hydro, you're hurting your yield.

Again, YMMV...
