You might want to try bumping the pH to 6.7-ish if the calmag doesn't help.

I use a liquid pH Up/Down for hydro. I suppose that would work for soil but dolomite lime, ash and other things work in outside gardens...

Hi, a little update on the grow. The plants are bushing out very nicely now since we toped them. We also pruned off some of the sugar/shade leaves and they have started to branch out.
We started the 12/12 light cycle today and are hopeing to get 3 females out of the six plants we have. Why only three? Well with a 2X4X7' room I think three will be plenty. Right now things are pretty crowded in there.
I have'nt had the time to take any pics this week but will try and get some up by Monday so you can see what I'm talking about.
I think we finally have the Cal-Mag problem somewhat under control. But now we have a gnat problem. Dang if it's not one thing it's something else. The learning curve for me is most of the fun.
I'll check back in the beginning of the week.

How tall were they when you switched to 12/12? I wouldn't prune many leaves, the plants need them.

Hi, The tallest plants are 14" and the smallest are 10" and 11". PH is holding at 6.5. It looks like the Cal-Mag is no longer a problem, thanks SME.
I have'nt seen any gnats today but I'm sure they are still there as the only thing we did was lets the soil dry out for one extra day between waterings. We are now watering every other day because the girls are sucking up the water and our soil is very loose and airy, maybe to much perlite.
The humidity problem is gone. I bought a small dehumidifier, per your suggestion SME, and have it's out put pointed at the air intake tubes. This morning the humidity was at 37%. It usually rises to about 45% during the day and sometimes 50%.
I think I'll take your advice SME and pick up some AZAMAX for the gnats, I don't want to take a chance on the problem getting any worse.
Here are some pics I took this morning. So far the Solar Flare 400w is doing a great job the plants are loveing it. I do have some brown leaf tips thogh and was wondering if the light may be to close, it's about 12 inches away right now. Or maybe it's nute burn. Any thoughts or comments are welcome.

Are the burnt tips only at the top of the plants or everywhere? CLW suggests 18-24 inches from the tops.

Hi, the burned tips are mainly on the top of the canopy, so I raised the light up to 18" from the top of the tallest plants.
These girls are really thirsty. They were watered yesterday and are already looking like they need more water. Checked the weight of the pots and they are light so I guess I'll water them again today. That means they are taking about a quart of water a day, is that about right for this time in their growth cycle?

Too many variables like soil composition, genetics, environmental conditions and sizes. Some plants drink over a gallon per day so 1 quart isn't abnormal. If the pots are light and the plants look like they need more water then they probably need more water.

Hi, week two of flowering and have found two males and removed them. One plant is showing female flowers and the other three are undetermined as yet.
The plants seem to really like the solar storm light. I like the fact that it does'nt produce the heat that HPS does so I'm not venting a lot of hot air to keep temps down. There is less amps used by the SS 400 also which allows me to hook up other things in the room without having to modify the wireing in the room.
If I was doing more than a personal use grow then I might consider HPS, but then again with what I see so far maybe not. The end results will be skewed due to my lack of growing and especially indoor experience. But so far the light is having good results.
