Harvest timing is a personal preference, some people harvest earlier than others. It's hard to say based off of a small sample like that but it looks like they're mostly (60%?) cloudy with just a few tipping to amber, right?

Some people prefer to harvest sativas when they just start to turn amber.
Some wait until they're mostly amber.

Since you're after CBD more than THC you may want to let them get more amber, up to 50%, or more, even. You can always harvest a few flowers early and save them to compare with later harvested flowers in a lab test. *shrug*

Plant #1, the one that was stressed, will need another good 20 days for sure, AT LEAST. Maybe 30 days.

I'm just concerned about harvesting too early... when I saw this graph:

I think this was for some Kush strain, but the difference in THC in just two weeks is just staggering. So I definitely don't want to cut too early.

The top of some buds still have white pistils, too. Are all pistils supposed to be brown before cutting?

I've been told on another forum "ur a moron, sativas get potent by week 8 already, and you're at week 10, so cut off these bitches"

Translation: my worries about potency are not warranted? :D

Like I said, some people like the high better if they harvest early but it's a matter of personal choice.

Some of them, depending on genetics, turn red, brown, blue, purple and even pink, I think. I don't pick timing based on the pistils but, yes, they'll probably be all red. If there are a few white ones left and the trichomes say harvest...then harvest. There is no one "right time" but I'd wait a bit longer. ;)

Just keep an eye on them every few days until they get closer to what you want then daily until they get there.

He's obviously not too bright himself; some strains take longer than others. That is a fact. Do you really want to take advice from somebody that says "ur a moron?" The "ur" is bad enough...

Like I said, you could always harvest a flower or two now and have them lab tested.

I was joking of course, I thought his vocabulary reflected well on the current stereotypes. Grow forums are full of folks like this.

This particular bud is one that grew outside the main canopy (it was easier to photograph). The other buds have more amber trich, but I had thought these were anomalies due to high 90F heat, which is a side effect of high heat mentioned in Ed R's book, and I believe you told me heat or stress could also turn some trich to amber prematurely.

It's kind of though for me to know what I want since this is my first harvest.

What I could do is chop off this batch now, and let plant #1 run another 20-30 days and then compare the batches. So when I grow KM again, I`ll know which batch I preferred and will therefore know when to cut in the future?

Heat (and light) can cause THC degradation but THC degrades to CBD, CBN and CBG, IIRC...

You can harvest 1/4 now, 1/4 in another week and so on...it's all up to you. Regardless, you'll have something to compare at least and you can always grow more later. Or you can try other strains. It certainly won't be the end of the world.

Don't panic...and don't sweat the small stuff. :D

I harvested about 80% of plant #2, left some smaller popcorn buds I thought wasn't really done.

I also realized I did a piss poor job with the scrog... plant #2 took less than 25% of the canopy space compared to plant #1. On my next grow I'll be more aggressive with the weaving.

From this:

Hopefully plant #1 will fatten up because it's still taking about 60-70% of overall canopy space.

The usual weight loss is 75-80% through drying, I presume?
