As for when they are ready to harvest, i always go by trich color.
Clear is too early
Cloudy is right if you like an up high, high
Amber if you are a lover of couch lock.
For me a mix of cloudy and amber works best!

I ended up writing to Serious Seed, and they replied within a day!
Obivously I couldn't flush, hopefully taste won't be affected too much. I'll flush plant #1, so it`ll be a good comparison to make
As someone said on another forum (an experienced KM grower who happened to like my photos), if I wanted a couch lock effect, I'd have grown an indica with high yields. I grew for 122 days to get the energetic effect of a sativa.
They're currently drying at 75F and 40% rH. As soon as the stem snaps upon bending (2-3 days?) it'll go in a glass jar for curing. I'll allow myself a first taste after a week of curing, and unleash myself after 3-4 weeks of curing.

The Kali MIst has a recommended flowering time of 70 to 90 days, i do not know where you read that simon suggests 113 days, but that is definetetly too long.
The best way is to look at the trichomes, which you correctly did.
IN your macro-pic you can already see some amber trichomes starting to appear.
Therefore you can choose, she is ready to harvest now and will then deliver a cristal clear up high with no body stoned whatsoever.
If you let her go longer, more of the trichomes will get amber and then a she will get more body-feeling (=sedative effect).
Since Simon looooooves the cristal clear up high, he does not want amber trichomes (or only a minimum) and would harvest now.
Please do not forget to flush your crop before harvesting, otherwise you will get a harsh smoke, if there is still nutrients left in the plant!

I vaped a small nug to test the high today -- superb. Unfortunately, the taste is akin to manure (which I suppose isn't surprising). It'll serve as a good reference point for another test post-curing.
I was surprised at how nasty it was, though. Doesn't taste at all like it smells.

This is me right now
Just wow. I never experienced anything like it. No sleepiness/drowsiness at all. After vaping M39 for years (a cross of Northern Lights #5 and Skunk #1 found only here), I had gotten used to the indica-type of high. Just last month I went through an ounce of Critical Mass and already could tell the difference in high versus the M39, which is all I ever had access to until now. Aside from this I've had some chronic a few times. Therefore my global experience with strains was quite limited.
But this KM high is phenomenal. I feel very stimulated, which is a super weird feeling for me, since it's absolutely counter intuitive compared to what I've come to expect. It feels like blood is rushing to my head but rather than puffing my eyes red and making them look drowsy, I'm super awake. Almost uplifted.
If the high only gets better from hereon out after curing, I am one satisfied motherfucker right now.

That's why some people harvest sativas before the trichomes turn very amber, it changes the high. Post cure will be smoother unless you're smoking the nute burned parts...
