On the GFP for my first grow ever

Postby DankMistress » Tue May 28, 2013 5:09 pm

Long story short: I know almost nothing about growing. Started seeds on May 14th, got three different sized starts. What do I do now? I'm using the SS400 in a 3'X3'X5.5 (approx) cabinet with 420 grow pots.

Welcome to the forums!

I'd suggest reading about some of the growing basics:
http://onlinepot.org/OGStrainGuide/ogfa ... Topics.htm

Also you can tell us more detail about room size, temps, humidity, planned nutrients, etc so we have a better idea of where you are now other than soil in small pots, the strains and the light you're using. ;)

Thank you for your quick response SME , the pots are 10 inch, 3 gallon 420 grow system. The temp is 75°. Humidity today is 59% (we had some hella storms last night) usually though, it's been between 50%-53%. My growing cabinet is 35"X35"X66" tall. I am using General Organics Go box. But not sure if I'm supposed to use all products at the same time or just the Thrive-grow for now, or wth? I read that Co2 is good so I found/made a DIY Co2 generator. I also have 2 computer fans on top of cabinet for airflow & a small fan inside for the breeze (I read the plants like it). I have been reading for months and I will continue to read to learn as much as I can. But reading is no substitute for hands on experience. Thank you for your valuable time/experience SME.

Its been a while since my last post. Can't seem to get pics up. Anyways I started with 3 plants: Chernobyl, green poison (a freebie seed) & L.A. Confidential. Well as a newbie I didn't know that for first timers it's best to have all one strain. I lost the confidential but the Chernobyl & green poison are hanging in there. Although the GP has a lot of yellow leaves. I noticed that in veg all three plants were very short with extremely close nodes. I topped & fimmed, cuz that's what I thought I was supposed to do... they really bushed out & thickened. Hmmm, did I do something wrong? I dunno, but now they are in bloom & there are many bud sites. I use General Hydroponics "go box" a solar storm 400 in a 3X3X5 area. I'm thinking of defoliating (controversial, I know). The following are dates/activities: 05/12/13 germination, 05/17/13 potted in roots organic, lightly top watered w/ph'd water then started the Gh nutes @ 50% strength on 05/18/13. 06/04/13 topped, 06/12/13 fimmed, 06/23/13 flipped to 12/12. Will post pics as soon as I find my camera cable.

You got a picture up on the first post, what's different now?

They do need to be under 1 meg so resizing/cropping might be needed. Also some apple products have problems and you may need to install an alternate bower like firefox or chrome.

Hope that helps...
