It could be where you have your thermometer. I have 2 thermometers and they both read different temps. Either way youll be fine, if anything the ones in the DWC will be able to handle the temps better than the dirty girls. The res temps need to be around 70 though, so keep an eye on them. If it gets too warm, they will have trouble with oxygen uptake.

You need to get either some cool air coming in, or exhaust your heat out. I exhaust mine into the living-room. In the winter the wife loves the heat, and in the summer, that room has the best air-conditioner. Give us more info, about your exhaust and intake system. h

4 inch Carbon Filter strapped to the top inside and inline fan outside on top of the tent. Its a 4 inch one. I opened up the vents at the bottom of the tent as well. Attached a pic you can kinda see it at the top.

I meant where does the heat go after it leaves the tent. If you just dumping it into the room then sucking it back up, it will only get hotter. Especially in summer. Also I have a fan blowing in through the vent at the bottom, and I ductaped the flap open. h

The exhaust is pointed at the ceiling I have 9 foot ceilings. Thanks for the idea I put pointed a fan at the vent down below outside.

Stick around, Im full of crazy Ideas! Lol. What I did was pull the carpet, and pad back, and took my 6" hole saw and went through the floor. (Save the piece, in case you move, just put it back, and nobody will be the wiser) Now Im lucky enough the master is above the living-room, so I put a 6x10 vent in the ceiling. The only one who noticed it was my neighbor, and he said "I dont have one of those in my apartment", and my wife said "oh its an air ex-changer they only are required to have one per 3000sqf". Ya, she pulled that out of her ass, we never even discussed it! He fell for it hook line and sinker. Lol. My landlord has been here 3 times now, and hasnt said a word. h

Well I got everything set up and the cooling situation is a lot better. Stable at 80. I put a fan by the intake to push some cooler air and worked like a charm.

All of my seed has germinated and made there way into the buckets. I'm not using rockwool but using SuretoGrow inserts. No PH problems with those. I have one plant that is I put in the bucket on Jan 28. Its coming along nicely. I have her in my laundroom under a 90w UFO for a little while till its a little bigger.

While my others are waiting to pop out I thought I would take what I am growing from my other tent that has a Blackstar 240w LED Panel in it and throw it under the SolarStorm in Flower Mode and UVB lights on. Let them soak up some 5watt LED goodness for a while.

I have 5 plants that are currently growing. One Paradise Seeds Wappa that is entering its 5th week of flowering, 2 Afhgan Ryder Autoflowering ones that are entering there 2nd month..only takes about 2 months to grow those from seed to harvest, and 2 Paradise Seeds Acid and Nebula where I was trying a 12/12 from seed experiment since I've never done it but read about it lol. I started all these before I thought about getting this light but I also have another tent for them. All of them are in airpots. The Wappa is turning out great. Whenever I order some more seeds in the future def going to be ordering that. The rest are healthy and fine.

In about a week to week and half I will move them out back into my other tent under the Blackstar and move my bubblers and smart pots under the Solarstorm..but like I said while I wait I will let them get some Solarstorm goodness.

Heres some pics.

Oh also got 1 basil plant about to sprout in a tiny 6 inch regular pot, and a San Marzano Tomato plant in a 3 gallon smart pot thats about to pop to. I plant to grow those inside the tent as well or my blackstar haven't decided. I spent about 8 years in the Marine Corp and when I got out went to Culinary School. Im now a Executive Chef and looove growing my own veggies and herbs. All throw out the year I usually am growing something. Now that I got another tent my smaller one once its free of plants will be packed with various veggies.

Thanks for your service PW, I'm a disabled US Army vet myself...

I was looking at the Wappa but it has such a long flower time it would make scheduling with shorter cycle plants harder unless I kept them in a room of their own and I don't want to do that at this point. I'm trying to avoid buying a bunch of tents. ;)

Disclaimer:
I still use HID and I'm NOT an LED expert. All of my LED knowledge is from other parties or research so I can't say from first hand experience one way or another. I also run a medical grow consulting business in SoCal.

And might I add, THANK YOU both for your service!

Now Ive been looking into the Wappa myself, and the one Ive found only says 55-60 days flower. Is this not the right one? h
