It kind of depends on the pot since there are different shapes. When you go to buy them, take a tape measure, line them up on the floor and see what fits in your space.

Rough estimate: up to 5gal for SCROG. 1-3gal for SOG depending on your density.

Density: the number of something in an area. In this case; the number of plants in a square foot of space.

(I think you need a new keyboard or a spell check app. :P )

Re the question a Solar Flare vs a Pro Grow 260X; In all due respects SME, the right question to ask before making a recommendation is "what does your grow area look like or what size is your tent"? The SF has 40-5W LED's in a small 5"x5" panel, meaning the lighting area is SQUARE. The PG20X is 23" long and 8" wide and would best be used in a 2x3' tent. I had a SF and it did not produce but small, airy buds. It worked great for Veg, but did not work for Flowering. I would go with the 260X. That said however, I suspect that the 260X uses Chinese LED's since they do not address LED origin on their web site, nor would they answer an email asking that specific question. I would also look at Advanced LED products, as they have great customer service both before and after a sale. Until SME gets an LED or two and tries them out, her comments and recommendations are based solely on other peoples information fed to her and her opinion. SME is very good and proactive, but SME, please try them out and then be the REAL Expert.

Jerry,

I've always been clear that my LED advice is solely my opinion, based on LED research and my signature makes that very clear. Nobody here has ever been required to take my grow advice.

I always ask about things like grow area and grow style, even in this thread and your "my questions" thread.

I don't recommended a single SF for a rectangular space, especially for flowering.

I don't recommend flowering with low w/sqft numbers nor with weak diodes (unless the plants are very small) either.

I suggest that you go back and actually look at my advice before criticizing it. While I haven't grown with LED I do have a lot of grow experience and many people here have benefited from my advice. Finally, if you had read the announcement threads you'd know that I was recently given a SF full cycle light that I will be testing after my back surgery. I may or may not flower with the SF since it's such a small light but I will be testing it in various scenarios. ;)

Hope that helps...and please don't dig up threads that have been dead for several months. If you want to continue this new topic I can split it off of this thread.
