Going to repot the tomato plants sometime this weekend. The roots are getting too compact and often need watering. For the fruiting stages of these plant I just use fox farm bud bloom liquid. I just follow the recommended suggestion of the manufacture. So far, everything has been going great! I only fertilize every weekend and water in between days. I got excited seeing pepper pods on the Carolina Reapper, pepper plants take a long time to produce results! The other pepper plants have flowers but no signs of fruit, the same is for a few tomato plants. I'm thinking the Brandy Wine is a little late on fruiting. On the Solarstorm 400w I've been using the UV lights, im not sure if this will have any advantage to fruit production. But I'm open to any results I'll get at the end of their cycle. I'll have more photos up today and tomorrow on the plants and fruiting sites.
I know, Sister Mary Elephant ! The peppers are the worlds hottest!!! I wonder if this light will make them hotter? Or just take some of the heat away? So far, the pepper plants had a great start with this light and seemed to handle the light spectrum well. The tomato plants showed some signs of stress but handled the spectrum as they started to veg.
Been battling heat issues with the outside temps and indoors with the grow tent. Temperatures have been around 84 degrees F. Normal temps for the whole grow have been around 74-77 degrees F. I run the solarstorm at night for cooler temps but it's getting nasty with being middle of summer. I have an inline fan and fans inside to keep temps steady. I'll post more information today with last week and this weeks photos.
Lost my tomato plant due to heat issues. But on a better note, all the pepper plants survived! I was thankful but had to get a new inline fan. I will hopefully have pics up, the Solarstorm light hasn't been in use for about 10 days! This wasn't a big setback, just mechanical failure.
