I would say 50-60 days is right on. Im in week 5 and it feels like its going to be a 8 week flower plant.

Where I had my tent in the room its in I was getting high temps that were bothering me 83-86. So I moved it to the part of the room where the AC vent is...its above it. Then I moved the lamp up some..was at like 15 inches above the plants so now its about 24 inches. Then I opened up the bottom flap on the side and put a fan right on it. Temps are dialed in now at 80 with the ambient room temp 76. Much happier.

Impressed that on full blast with t8 lights that its only 4 degrees above room temps. Very happy camper here.

If your reading SisterMary I think your right about HID vs LED. In terms of cooling right now I have my fan on max if I had a HID I would have that on max most likely. Then for 1050 bucks I could of bought at least 2 600w HID systems maybe 3.

Im still a LED believer though. Setting aside cost I think its more like individual choice really. Hopefully since this is a technological thing Moores law kicks in and prices drop. Moores law governs the Microprocessor world. Every two years microprocessor power doubles and costs are cut in half. Been that way now for about 30 years. Be nice if it happened in the LED world.

Glad to hear you got your temps down. You may want to consider a bigger fan/filter next time, so you dont have to run it on high. I use a 6", and only have it at half speed. You can barely hear it. I know the 6" move triple the air of a 4".

I agree, they do put out some heat, but I dont think its the same as a 600. Maybe a 600 in a cool tube. You can still send the light back after 90 days, and get your money back. Thats the beauty of the program. I personally find the potency produced by the LEDs is worth the possible loss in product, but Ive gotten really good results there too. I pulled 11oz's (3 plants) off 4 Blackstars, using 533 watts, in a 3'x4'x22" wardrobe. And I would much rather have quality over quantity. My buddy grows the same strains as me, (we share seed orders) and he cant figure out why mine keeps coming out better than his. Lol. He's been growing 35 years, but refuses to try any of the new ways. h

4x4x8 tent. and have another smaller tent as well. I think I will be ok on the space thing.
