Don't be afraid to kill off a few clones, just pick the runts or the ones that are too tall.

If you're going to fim I'd do it early and at least a week or so before flipping. With high density SOG you really don't need to do that but if you want to try it on some, they're your plants. growers that root and flip without vegging don't have time to fim either... ;)

OK, Thanx SME... I want to FIM some, just to see...and because it is something I learned after it was too late to try in the current grow.

Yes, out of the first cloner I picked the best first while filling my tubs, and ended up scraping the puny ones. Most of the ones potted are pretty close in size. Some just a little fuller than others...already. But those are the ones with the largest roots...the early starters.

I know my second attempt will be much better than the first, but I am still hoping for good results...and not too long from now!

Anything that can be done in the last week to really help results?????

Happy!

Give it a shot and if they get overcrowded you can skip it next time and maybe prune a little.

You're basically on cruise control at this stage. Keep an eye on the basics: temp (can be dropped some for purple phenos) humidity, water level/temp, pH, etc. I avoid those alleged yield booster additives but it is an option if you have money to burn. I'd just see how you do and try improve next time. Once you hit a plateau and you're getting consistent results THEN try the voodoo juices to see if they really help or if they just cost a lot.

Patience...

Well if FIMing will give me multiple colas per plant, I might find it makes more sense to go back to every other site.....prepping to fill every site is a lot of work!! But fun!

The stalks of the girls in the Aeroflo are getting to the point of being heavy and leaning over...looking like a big mess! Something that has amazed me...one of the pots was leaning a little so I grabbed the main stalk (one of the biggest) to pull it back into place a little and about one quarter of the grow moved!!! The big girl that I originally called "Bertha" has snaked stalks up all over the place...SHE IS HUGE!!! She has tips almost the full width of my system!

The buds aren't as big as I hoped for...but we aren't finished yet...but whatever the numbers, it will give me some plant material to play with, making stuff...edibles and such...plus give me an easy mark to break next time...hahahaha

Waiting........

That's the idea of fimming/topping but each one is smaller. The SOG concept is one big cola per plant packed closer together. Try it both ways and see which works better for you and your system. I think SOG will win.

"Bertha" is more proof of why smaller might be better in your system. ;)

That's the way...set the bar low and then leap over it next time. :D

SME, with this grow almost finished, there shouldn't be much more to report other than harvest, cure & final weight report....

I plan to clip, trim & hang for 2-3 days....then clip buds from stalk & nestle in shredded paper bags for 3-4 days, before jarring.... Sound about right? This is a method I found on another forum and they swear by it....

In the previous mini harvests of my confused ladies, I never got the real fragrant aroma in the jars....could it be that it dried too much or not enough??

If I journal a second grow should I just start a new thread for it?

Yeah, you can report how your harvest goes, document the drying/curing process, if you want, and report final dry weight and smoke report but there shouldn't be much going on in the last week of the grow.

I've never heard about the shredded paper method but it sounds like a variation of the paper bag method which I never tried either. I used to dry for a few days and then jar right way, burping the jars frequently for the first week or so (can't let them get too humid in there) then daily after that. For my personal stash I used to water cure. Recently, I invested in some CVault containers that basically work like humidors that I plan on trying next time. I bought all but the smallest one. :D

It could be from over drying...or just the strain.

Yes, please start new threads for new journals. ;)

Well I just checked trics....and I am seeing more cloudy than anything else. So if I can get my clones into pots this evening I may start some stalk-by-stalk harvesting of the cloudiest ones...maybe allow some light to reach deeper for what it will be worth at this stage...

Here are some quick pics before any harvesting....

It's hard to tell in that light but are any of the pistils turning red? They look all white still. Trichomes are the way to tell but those pictures don't look very ready to me. Maybe it's just the LED color overload though...

Hey Happy,

in the second picture with the powerstrip in the background, does it have an LED that glows red when it is on? Or is it just a black switch?

I hope I didn't send my bad luck your way! Glad to hear the flood wasn't of Noah proportions! LOL

Wonder why your fan controller has dumped twice? Seems alot in a short time. Is it ON-OFF-VAR speed with a dial?

Keep on truckin!
