dumb question

Postby FatNakedGuy » Sat Aug 24, 2013 10:08 pm

Hey all,

I am new to all of this and have a question..

setup
4x4 tent
solar storm 800
venting, carbon, etc..
coco & perlite in 2gal hempy buckets

after germinating the seeds (soaking in distilled water in dark place for 24hrs) I plan to put them into mini-hempy party cups (16oz) for a couple weeks before moving them to the 2gal buckets... the question.. can I put those cups in the tent with the ss800 for the first couple weeks? or is that way too much for them at that point? I read about using a T5 light but if the ss800 will work up high, i'd like to do that (unless there is a reason not to)

Thanks for any info provided!

Yes, you can start them under the LED light but you might want to raise it up higher than normal until they get some true leaves going. It's a lot of light for a few solo cups but it's up to you.

Disclaimer:
I still use HID and I'm NOT an LED expert. All of my LED knowledge is from other parties or research so I can't say from first hand experience one way or another. I also run a medical grow consulting business in SoCal.
