Since you using both the HPS and the LED I wonder if I should move the thread to the Grow Journals section? I'm looking forward to the next update... ;)

Disclaimer:
I still use HID and I'm NOT an LED expert. All of my LED knowledge is from other parties or research so I can't say from first hand experience one way or another. I also run a medical grow consulting business in SoCal.

Ok folks, we made it to the end of week 5 of flower.

All I can say is "Flower Power"

The Simply Orange container is my DIY CO2 generator. 1 cup sugar, warm water and yeast. Smells like it's fermenting. I will change out every so often with another one that is ready to go. Don't know how much it will help but for 5 bucks it really doesn't matter.

Also picked up a DIY carbon scrubber from only 2 parts at HomeDepot. A 6 inch vented chimney and 2 replacement prefilters for a air filter. Pix to come later when completed. Parts total = $30 compared to $90 for a pre-made one.

Looking good Rocky,

They have really streached, good job. Like the CO2 gadget also.

Peace out,

Hey GR,

Yeah they are done vertically. Went from 10-12" to about 32 t o 35" now. So pretty much tripled.

Saw you are getting cut on too? Hope surgery goes well! Get lots of pain pills!

Hey RKY,

Great pics, amazing after just 5 weeks flowering. Did you start counting day 1 after turning to 12/12, or after they started to flower?

Tripled in size, wow...mine have more than doubled after just 16 days of 12/12. I turned them when they were just 10-12", and they are now 21-27" tall...I just can't believe it. They are all "short indica" strains too...learning experience for sure.

I'm definitely going to main line my next grow based on GR's pics...

Thanks ICB.

I count from the day I switch to 12/12. I was hoping they were only going to double but oh well, gotta go with the flow now!!

I do clones so they can't be mainlined in the same way as plants from seed can. But I did some research too and found a pic of a 32 site mainlined Vortex plant that almost brought tears to my eyes! It might be the way to go for these LEDs to get maximum penetration and coverage.

I'll take some more pics this weekend without the HPS on.

Hey Rky,

Your girls are doing great!!

Do you have any info/recipe for your CO2 generator thingy?? In the past I tried one of those Exhale bags, but they are pricey!!

Happy!

Had to do a res change so I figured I'd put some pics up without HPS/LED on.

Hey Rocky,

Looking great there man! Very impressive for just 5.5 weeks in...have you turned the UVB light in the CLW unit on yet? I also am impressed with that do it yourself CO2 generator, very low tech and low budget...love it!

And yeah, growing older can be a bitch for sure...but as you say, given the alternative, I'll take it!!

Live in the moment, and enjoy every little thing life has to offer...like these beautiful flowers!!!
