Better Photos today.

Neglected to say that this grow is using the LED from seed. The lights are 17" above the pots. The plants have not gotten any taller since week 2.

I may run another power feed to the room and add the two 400watt HIDs. Heat would be a real issue, so I'll have to think about running them for a few hours before the 600watters shut off at night.

The SS400w is more than enough light for those tiny plants in veg right now. I wouldn't add the HID lights at this stage but it *IS* your grow... ;)

Yah know, I don't really trust the SS400 alone, I've always used 2x400HID in the past for veg/flowering. But I think it can provide enough heat overnight when the new 600watters I'm using now are off.
Today I've done DIY install on a 6" extraction fan with ducting. I'll admit, it's a crappy install. Hole in the wall is too small for the fan to fit and the ducting too loose. Eye hooks, cable ties and tape. I do computers, not woodworking, so this is the best I can manage until my brother-in law can help me out.

BTW: The previous harvest got me 3.8 ounces after drying for 2 weeks (that's the jars in my previous posts) I'm hoping for an improvement by using the FoxFarm products and the other upgrades I've made since that last grow attempt.

You might find that the duct-booster fan isn't strong enough to do the job, depending on temps, of course. Most people use axial inline fans for exhaust. You'll also want to make sure that no outside light can leak in through your ducting/fan.

Damn, I got that fan after watching a youtube video, thought I got the right type. I'll get one of the in-line kits I've seen on amazon.
This is the model fan I got LEDwholesalers GYO2402 6-Inch 240 CFM Air Duct Inline Hydroponic Booster Fan

Today's Photo: Spots have devolved on one of the plants overnight. Properly from the feeding solution getting on it. Note to self: Be more careful when feeding.

Hi SME,

I can have this fan tomorrow. VenTech Hydroponic 6'' Inline Fan and Carbon Air Filter 6'' Duct Flange Combo Set for Odor Control
$149.75
440CFM vs 240CFM of the one I have now. Should I also get a speed controller?

Thanks

That axial will move much more air and should help with the light leak. The added carbon filter will help with odor control later too. ;)

We'll see, I placed the order in to get it tomorrow. I should have it installed by the start of Week 4 of this grow. The room temp hit 91 today. I've added additional ducting and placed it directly over and as close to the lights as possible. Maybe that will help for the next day or two. (as I typed this, the temp dropped to 84 with 600watters turned off, leaving just the SS400 on.)

Grow update: FoxFarm potting soil is holding moisture a lot longer than I'm used to. Pots are still heavy from the feeding of two days ago. I don't expect to have to water the plants for another two, maybe three days. No new photos for this week.

This grow is done. Plants have been cut.
No more posts or updates from this date/time.

Thanks for your advice SME. I did use everything you suggested and it all worked.
